Gone for a £20 Amazon jobbie. If I'm not happy with it when it arrives it can just go back (has reasonable reviews though).

In a kind of general way would the above be a reasonable choice for a first welder to learn with?
Intended use (once I've had a little practice) is sorting some structural deficiency on an old Mercedes so mainly 2mm steel.

Nothing too bad needed, the car is a w201 190 1986. There are a few common areas that rot, this one has them all!
A previous owner used the filler and underseal method of hiding the rust.
