Chris,
The black wire from the overload is going to the same terminal as the yellow winding wire. The trouble is, that is also connected with a link to where we have the neutral wire connected, assuming that is correct.
Glen.
That’s quite different to the old one then. That has the live connected to one terminal, and the link to the cut out, which is connected back to another terminal.
Can anyone help with the wiring on a new Clarke compressor motor? The new one has two capacitors and a different arrangement of the terminals and links.
This is the old motor.
And this is the new one, withy two capacitors, with the live, neutral and earth connected as we think, but is also...
Joepro, That looks very close to the compressor colour thanks. My compressor has 2 motors, so it's easier just to paint the new one blue. It's not really necessary, it's just my OCD. I have the bigger version of that bandsaw and the belt housing is black.
There is an old chap at my local paint factors who is the English version of that guy. I could get him to mix me some but it wouldn't have the same hammered finish.
Has anyone found a good colour match for the hammered blue finish on the Clarke compressors? There seem to be a few to choose from, apart from Hamerite.
I have a Parweld XTT202P welder I bought secondhand, which came with a WP26 torch. I want to weld 1.5mm stainless exhaust tubing, so I was looking at getting a WP9 torch for this. The Parweld torches are listed as valved and non-valved. I am guessing that the valve shuts off the gas, so I should...
