Two years later, but did you get anywhere with the old but robust welder? Is the manual electronic or paper? If electronic, I would be very grateful for a copy. I am just getting started on trying to bring one back to life.
I don't like to think how many hours I could have saved if I had a circuit diagram, but they, like most manufacturers, say that their policy is not to release them. If campaigns for making things repairable get anywhere, they might make release of circuit diagrams, test points readings etc...
