I gave up with water based polishes. Menzerna for me now, with a drop of pad lubricating oil. Spread on the slowest speed and then move up the speeds to get the polishing action. No mess to clean up
Managed to do it.
Some constructive feedback if I may.
This doesn't like the more secure browsers like Brave and DuckDuckGo. Had to install Chrome for it to work.
I remember seeing these back in the day, mostly with Dave Metcalfe (RIP) at the helm. Almost as mad as Colin McRae, only knew one speed. Flat Out. Quite often beat some of the 2000cc cars in his 1600 Nova.
Nice to see they are still around. Good work.
Small update then. Brother has re-fitted the Diff, which has brought the rear suspension beam back into line. He also found a decent handle for the driver's seat height adjustment, which is half the battle on these old crocks. Getting parts.
Meanwhile I have been busy with the engine. Not a...
OK, car is coming back tomorrow, so for now a mix of images.
First job will be to get the wiring looms in, then it will go down to Kent for my brother to start the build up. Meanwhile, I have the engine and all the body plastics to do. Probably get to another update in a few weeks.
Righto Chaps. I need one. Trying to be a clever dick I inflated them with my compressor, which has the PCL garage style attachment. All good At 41psi. Thought I’d check in the local BP while filling up and they all show 39psi. Curious now I went to Sainsburys and checked them again and that one...
Nope, I’ll drive what I like. Just had to change the Skoda Superb estate after the engine let go. Road tax was the last (zero) consideration in the buying process.
I am also a heavy user of the fillthathole pothole reporting site. The more they increase road tax, the more I will report. So many...
The EPB system does function as an emergency brake if you pull and hold the switch when moving. That makes it work with the main braking system to perform an emergency stop, as I discovered in my old XFR one day, quite by accident. Caught the switch by accident and almost soiled myself at the...
Yes, awaiting some warmer weather to get the paint on. In the meantime there is mechanical work being done to refurbish it all.
Only sold the jig, not the car.
There are plenty of countries where you get better dentistry a lot cheaper than the UK. Bulgaria, Poland, even Germany. Check them all out and decide. I discounted Turkey cos I can’t stand the place.
I work with a Polish guy who travels back for all his dentistry. Even with the flight cost it’s...
I have similar issues, mostly from playing rugby before the days of mouth guards. After 2 years of research I am looking at going to Italy next year. UK quote of 12k for fixing 5 teeth, same in Italy for 1500.
UK dentistry, and much of the NHS for that matter, utterly useless to normal people.
