Morning Fellas not been here for a while.
This is the first thing I ever built since kitting out my little workshop.
Bought an RTech Mig 180 and got to work. Think I am gonna add something at each corner to level it a bit, plus the casters have a bit movement even when locked off, so will help...
Hey chaps
You will have to excuse my ignorance but I went to the scrappy today and bought some sheet metal that I thought was Mild steel (forgot my magnet) it measures 114Cm x 56Cm and is 2 mm thick, it weighs a bit too. As it was non ferrous I immediately thought it was aluminium just wondered...
Thinking about painting my floor in the sectional concrete workshop with epoxy paint but noticed some moisture coming in through the concrete base at the edges, not much but wondered if it would cause issues after painting ie paint lifting due to moisture.
I also have a sectional garage with cement fibre sheet roofing and have to say I have not experienced any dripping in there, moisture does sit on some items in there though. Will look into insulating at some point.
Think I might add some guttering at some point too and also line it out later but for now I will be using some lining clips and lengths of ply to mount sockets and CU.
Mine went up today, no rebar in mine either but no cars going on it just some machinery and welding table
Its 12x12 and will be getting wired up with 13a, 16a & 32a sockets in about a week.
Thanks for that I was not aware of the differences between scratch start, lift start and hf start (I do now)
from what I have seen though lift start is better than scratch but not quite as good as HF, I guess I will have to learn.
So lift start if I am correct is where you touch the tungsten to...
Yes I thought it was on the high side but the guy I bought it from had already stripped and reconditioned it so it wasnt too bad a deal, could have looked around more but the guy was local and I could go and view it first.
It is a perfect size for what I need too :)
Great info thanks
I planned on fitting the provided brackets and some ply around the whole permiter to enable the sockets and CU to be mounted so could probably retro fit the lining later. :0
