ok, ill put the concertina in front of the fibreglass. it probably doesnt need the fibreglass panel filters, because the concertina has a additional filter to the back of it.
the fan is almost sucking the room inside out, i might have to turn it down, but will see when its up and running.
ill...
well, in the end ive ordered the fibreglass panel filters and the concertina style ones.
im going to start cutting holes in the wall today.
im going with a one metre square hole, with 4 of the 450mm square fibreglass filter panels, and a metre square section of the concertina style behind it...
yeah i have seen that axial fans should be used but i dont have one, and i do have the RVK duct fan.
If it doesnt work or catches fire ill re think the co-axial.
last time i used sprayguns direct the tins of paint turned up all bashed to bits, in a measly thin cardboard box. one was so bad i...
hello, im going to be setting up a spray booth in my shed, and need some advice on filter material for both intake and extraction.
My shed is split into 2 areas, the spray room and the entrance area. entrance area is 2.4 by 1.4m.
the "spray room" part of the shed is 3 metres by 2.4m
my extract...

im using 8mm for airfed and euro fittings.
will get another compressor and run from a seperate circuit. ive a compressor run from a seperate mains board in garage and will take the...
i have read that the sata uses less than the devilbiss etc, but not much.
i did kinda guess it wouldnt work, but thought id ask, before shelling out more cash...guess another compressor for painting with then.
ive got a 3 stage filter to make it breathable air so no worries there.
thanks for...
hi, im looking at buying a sata air fed mask, the one around 200 quid.
Has anyone got experience of running these units. i use devilbiss flg5 guns (hvlp), and am unsure if my compressor will cope with the gun plus the air feed.
its an ABAC, 13cfm, 3hp single phase compressor.
Anyone know if it...
its not as expensive as you might think. air fed mask =£200, 3stage filter=£600
800 quid is a bit of an outlay, but if you look at how much you will spend on mask filters (which arent recommended anyway, either by 3m or HSE, and are gonna be causing yet more harm) its probably a few years...
hi, i spray motorcycles and parts mostly, and am fed up with using paint stripper to get back to metal for tanks etc. it takes forever and paint stripper is getting expensive.
im looking at getting a blaster, and have been looking at both the blast cabinets and the stand alone pots.
ideally id...
all the more reason to stay safe and just use air fed masks, no.?
i will not be using the cartridge filters again, its nothing to do with face seal, its to do with the fact that they dont prevent isocyanates from passing them.
3m even tell you not to use them, as does the HSE.
air fed for me...
The bottom line is that 2k and especially clearcoat lacquers,, should only be used with an air fed mask.
ive previously used it with 3m mask and cartridge filters which are supposedlly effective...they arent.
i spent a week in bed struggling to breath and shivering like a wet dog after getting...
Thanks Paul, yes you're right, its missing the 2nd insulator. thanks for clearing that up. the 2,4 set up has a gas shield like the top pic.
thanks for your help.
ahh right, I get it now. don't know why I had it in my head that there had to be a connection from the welder to the torch -doh. so the 2 leads from the foot pedal go to the welder and that's it. great .
thanks for your wisdom….and patience.....
What about the torch issue, in the last pic? is...
ok thanks for replying.i did kinda realise that the torch switch would be disconnected for the foot pedal to work.
im still confused tho, - if one goes from the pedal to centre connection, and the other goes from the pedal to the right hand side connection, there still needs to be one going to...
