Thank you all for the kind thoughts and words . He was very poorly last year after a nasty fall, we was all told he wouldn’t make it as he was too frail, he managed to break his collar bone, a few ribs and an arm. He overcame the fall and gifted us all with an extra year. I’m happy I got to...
same with a lot of trades unfortunately, rang a gas safe lad to look at our boiler he told me to scrap it without even coming to have a look or diagnose the issue
I think the way it’s going it’ll be a night course, I could work for a company that we subtract our coil piping too. That way I’m still working on what I know and with the same lads on sites for the flat packs. Let’s see how the future goes, need to have a good think
It’s a tricky situation as I feel like I should take the plunge but I don’t want to loose my job and what I’m doing now in case I don’t like it. Maybe I’d benefit more from a night course than an apprenticeship as I don’t want to go through all that again
Im not too sure which area I’d like to be in, I’ve seen lads pipe up our units such as air con units in exposed ceiling voids and just the whole process looks satisfying from my point of view, I’m sure it’s a lot different actually doing it
So for the last 5 years I’ve worked in heating and ventilation, this has involved building bespoke air handling units and ducting in the yard and on sites across the Uk.
now I’m in limbo wether I want to pack all this in and start a plumbing apprenticeship or night course , luckily I’m only...
Hi mate can’t find the thread anywhere:doh: What sizes are you wanting to fit in to eachother ? Should be fairly simple to work out with wall thicknesses and so on. For example. 25mm internal with 2.5 wall thickness = 25 + 2.5 x 4 = 35. Correct me if I’m wrong but that seems the logic thing to...
My ceiling was the same in the new house, me and the other just bought. Plasterer used browning (called something else now) to bulk it to level then skimmed over the top, didn’t disturb anything and after a light sand of any lumpy bits it’s good and smooth
Cheers for the input guys will certainly look into it. Just realised the person who rents the garage next door seems to have electric in his so may see if he wants to split the bill  hopefully he says yes
Oh god was hoping it would just be plug and play. I’m so very wrong:ashamed: going to have a look around tonight and see what I can come up with. Has anyone got any past experience with a set up ?
Don’t think I’ve thought this through very well. Was hoping to spend a penny or two on set up of a little side line then when I made a bit of money I was going to upgrade. Thank you all for your help anyways. I’ll keep looking and hopefully invest in a welder generator
