I think you might be right about the back wheels, they came from a different set with a lower weight limit, 30kg each.
And as you can see I sort of finished the cart, but with everything on it, with the little back wheel it is a bit of a struggle...
Now I think of going to make something...
Why would that be? Because they are only connected on 3/4 of the surface?
They should be able to hold 75kg each, enough for a welder, a bottle and some tools
I know welding galvanised is bad for your health, but I have them laying around...
Could try and make a plate where I bolt the wheels on, and weld that on. Gives me the possibility to exchange or renew them when necessary
In the mean time I continued with my cart.
Tonight I realised I got more and more familiair with the machine, and my welds actually start to look better, to my opinion at least...
The results so far;
The diagonal is probablya bit to long and should have gone more to the front (left on the...
Firstly thanks for your replies and suggestions! Really appreciate it!
I think I have to get some scraps together and get the setting right. But 30amps per mm will not work on this, been there done that... (without succes)
But when reading and watching the tutorials, my welds don’t...
Thanks for the tip, I had found it earlier already. Got some ideas from the carts shown by others :-)
I'm planning on a cart with 1 shelf for the welder, and a bottom ofcourse which will hold some boxes and the bottle.
As I said earlier, making it out of angle iron.
I've got the shelf...
Hi everyone,
A while ago I bought my first new welding machine, an HBM 200CI Synergic welder. Goes from 30 - 200 AMP, can also do stick and TIG. Of course I started with MIG, so far we are getting along fine. Did some horseshoe porject, but now its time for a proper project.
I'm going to build...
I did not consider this one, but coming from the UK it makes it difficult to plug it in here...
Looks like a nice machine though.
For the ones interested, this will be my choice https://www.hbm-machines.com/producten/lassen/punair-lasapparaten/hbm-200-ci-synergic-mig-lasinverter
Its in Dutch...
I tried a lot of settings, low gas flow, high (12lt/min) gas flow, nothing helps. And yes, gas is flowing, have not measured from the gun.
But, I gave up hope with this machine.
Saturday I will buy a new machine. I will keep you posted about my new purchase and my progress
Well, it took some time, but here's an update.
I got some sheet metal of different thicknesses (0.75mm, 1.2mm), read the manual mentioned earlier, and started trying the settings in the table.
But no matter what I try, I get bad (high) welds or I burn right through the metal... :(
Reasonably...
Well I have to try it some time, so I will see what happens. I can change back to 0.8 of course .
At least i ordered some material, so I can get to it this weekend.
Yes this was the only I did tonight, have to get some more material...
And I was pleased with this result indeed
But I'm not quite happy with the lower settings of the machine, which are not giving proper weld not even on thinner material...
It says H.H Imports on the side, comes with a very limited and badly Google-Translated manual. And says MIG 150, so 150 amps...
But it looks a lot like this one that @gaz1 showed https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HAWK-195...188731?hash=item43bfc5523b:g:mKkAAOSwGtRXyY3T
Started with reading the suggested links, found a piece of metal and went for it :welder:
Highest power setting, wire speed 5(halfway), 8lt/per minute
The mess in the red circle are power power settings, that does not seem to work...
Backside
Must say, this felt a lot better than...
As it is Sunday afternoon, I directly got to it.
It's 1.8mm if I'm correct. Gas at 7lt/minute
Attempt 1:

Attempt 2:

On the other side
Second attempt seemed very hot, maybe the wire speed is a bit high
It didn't give a nice 'bacon crackle' as well, quite...
