Because I am doing a rust buble on the roof of my van. I don't have any spray guns or compressors. So am going to paint on epoxy primer by brush. It's only about 2.5 inch wide repair. Removed all rust and feathered the repair. Just worried by brushing on it and sanding it...

What grit would you recommend to sand the strokes out of the epoxy..and 2k gloss before final coat. Thinking start with about 600 or 800 grit going higher with the epoxy before putting on 2k gloss by brush 2.

Yeahi hear what your saying with blasting but its something that i probably can't do or dont have the funds to have that done at the moment. the Rust really is very very slight. I just want to tackle it while its little and slow it down as best i can really. There just mainly tiny stone chips...

Yes it is on the outside side it's only stone chips from the road. Some parts are where paints flaked off a bit. On the wing it's only very very slight just don't want it going any worse.
