if you are just soldering in a new battery it doesnt need reprogramming.
Same with BMW's, it falls into the brief moment in time where you had physically put the key in the dash to start the car (and the battery was charged using induction), fortunately that tech quickly moved onto just having...
and the rims for the same mini. I've painted solid colours for years, but my first ever attempt at base/clear (outwith a rattle can job). Sprayed at 10 dec C and turned out better than expected. Never again will i prep and paint alloy wheels. Only done these by spraying to ensure the centre caps...
ive just cleaned up some alloy wheels using these:
two does a complete wheel and doesn't take that long.
Also using screwfix paint stripper, it doesnt work as effectively as on more domestic paints, but an overnight steep and it softens up the paint enoung for the stripping discs to blitz...
Use them quite a bit - only once had an issue where i received 1ltr of solid gloss black 2k instead of Satin - sent out the correct stuff FOC and ASAP. my experience is opposite. Keen to hear your issues. They were a nightmare during the pandemic due to staffing issues (and likely a wave of DIY...
Some top suggestions and guidance, many thanks. Seems theres spring steel sheets available in 0.2mm thickness on ebay. Enough to screw up 99 attempts and get one good one for around £8.
well chuffed. have a great weekend folks.

Howdy. i have an old 1.5hp sealey (oil free) compressor in need of a new reed valve. It measures 12x30mm x 0.18mm. Cant get exact parts, so looking at cutting something else down to size. The generic stuff i'm seeing on Ebay is either a twice as thick or not wide enough.
Anyone got a pointer to...
kind of done this with most rads Over the years anyway as I renovate room by room, but it’s really my pipework that needs to most attention. After many years of procrastination, I’ve finally upgraded some restrictions in my system to 22mm. The far extremities of my house always suffered with...
I hear the concerns on x400, but it’s bought and getting used. Plenty enough positive reviews on it also.
cheers for the input. Sounds like a filter is a no brainer .
I’ve got some x400 cleaner I was going to throw in for a couple of week before flushing.
what’s the correct position. Is it on the return close ish to the boiler?
Any experience from diy/pro’s?
Currently doing some mods/repairs on my CH and going for a full flush and clean after.
It’s a good opportunity to fit filters. is the magna clean filters a worthy addition to a central heating system?

Oh, and the biggest f up. After school/weekend I used to help my old
Man (hgv mechanic) at smallish rural hgv firm. Those were the days when a 14/15 year old was allowed to drive hgv’s around a yard to put into the washbay or over the pit for cleaning, servicing and general Shunting.
one day...
Ignored techears advice to strongly follow technical higher qualifications after acing the O grades.
chose the easy path as you do at 16 (following little Al’s guidance) I’m in a pretty decent role and done it without much formal qualification and the technical aspects associated are complex...
PM in oil and gas, ROV construction vessels more specifically.
after a looong downturn, things started picking up just at the start of the pandemic, then fell a little flat again for obvious reasons
appart from the nightmare that is personnel logistics, I’ve been very very lucky.
been WFH for...
