We have one of these in work, quite good when run from a 32A socket, we use it for welding new patches onto diffs on buses, quite heavy metal and it does just fine. Quite a lot of splatter of it though.
It has been used on finer stuff, namely a atc 70 petrol tank and didn’t blow it in holes...
So I’m buying a mig welder, I came to this forum and asked for help, I got some suggestions parweld, Portamig, rtech, gys so I thought happy days I’ll buy one of these, then bam out of no where comes “smoothing capacitors” what are these? How would the affect welding a car?
