Hi there
I've decided to give up, there's far too much rust in other areas to carry on, it's only a Nissan Micra so not so bad really.
As for real lifef is real school, couldn't agree more! College is good as it's got a great and useful setup but thats not how you work in real life, good...
Finally started welding at college and have learnt plenty already, this site has helped too!
Anyway, now that I am starting to get to grips with it I am ready to start tackling the sills on my car.
I have the full panel replacement to use.
Firstly, the front 1/4 of the sill is fine...
The economics are great, on 2 cars I've had about £200 of welding done (thats at mates rates too), my welder retails at £160 when I got it but thanks to ebay it was £100 delivered.
So far apart from just practising handling I've made a performance short shifter gear stick, not the prettiest...
Hi there
Names Gary
Finally got a MIG welder so can learn metal work, mainly for car repairs as am tired of paying other people to do it and I'm already learning bodywork.
The main site has helped my plenty so far and am sure I'll get loads of help from the forums.
Thanks
