Welcome.
Very vague answer I’m afraid but I would say there is a fault in the machine sending a small amount of current to the case or the earth which straps to the case.
May not have been noticed on the wheels as they probably insulated the unit but now it’s in a trolley it could be...
Flow rates.
Always seems to be a broad spread of opinions and rates of flow.
I personally prefer 10/12Lpm on tig and mig.
Still a good 7 hours constant use on a size Y bottle. That’s 7 hours of the trigger pulled remember.
On the subject of blanking EGR and remapping.
What the possible bad outcome to leaving the EGR fitted but on the pipe where it bolts to the valve making a 1 mm steel plate to fit where the gasket goes and blocking its ability to draw exhaust gas in.
Is it feasible or have I missed something. Cheers
How does it cause the seals to blow.
Forgive my ignorance I’m just curious as a lot of people remove EGR valves which by blanking off wouldn’t that be similar. Cheers
Sons Astra Sri diesel turbo oil seal blown.
The whole intake side is absolutely blathered in carbon oil sludge. EGR valve was blocked solid into manifold. How it even started I’m amazed.
Pipes have all been degreaser. EGR valve cleaned and throttle body delicately cleaned.
The intake manifold...
Five stitches in my thumb.
Grinder+ 1mm slitting disc + 1 neighbour asking for a quick favour. =
Me being stupid and complacent leading to a trip to GP who informs me that they only do minor injuries. 6hrs later I leave A&E thumb stitched pride dented and a multitude of sarcastic messages...
Hi welcome.
Most grinders have the handle mounts at an angle to make grip comfortable when handle fitted.
The old one I used for this had an additional couple of mounts which I used instead.
I could have made a smaller bracket fitted to the two handle mounts and shaped it accordingly but I opted...
Dewalt, Makita not a lot between them. If you’ve had one brand and happy stick with it.
Too much marketing makes what should be a painless thing not.
Milwaukee I’m on the fence falling away. Had a cordless drill crack a case when dropped from only about 18 inches plus another had a chuck which...
Interesting.
It was the first thing I noticed after popping it on. Turning settings down to an absolute minimum still turns it dark as soon as it’s facing direction of lights. Now I’m used to it it’s not as annoying but the helmet does get flipped up more because it. Which is frustrating at times.
No offence to those who treat their vice with a lick of paint etc but to be honest mine is the one bit of kit that gets welded on, beaten to the limit and the handle has more curves than Sam Fox.
I just wouldn’t be able to abuse it like I do if it was all shiny and sparky looking.
Was it your esab that they said was faulty?
I’m of the opinion that it’s very sensitive to flouro lights. Mine certainly is and a few others have said similar. I could be wrong though would explain why it’s at minimum setting and still darkening very easily in flouro lights
I would agree there. I had to turn the sensitivity to minimum and it still dims if I look towards the strip lights.
As you say though it’s not a problem.
I’ve not seen this lid before either had a general route around this sort of price bracket a few months ago as I wanted something a little more reliable than the cheap cheap ones.
Ultimately I’d go for an Optrel E684. Tried one on and for my failing eyes it was impressive.
I actually settled...
