The thread in the nut on mine was worn. It is driven by a worm wheel (8) and well beyond my capability to make a new one. I considered sleeving it but not sure there would be sufficient wall thickness. It is also very long which may make finding a suitable boring bar tricky.

Ive had the over current errors trying to run my harrison mill to fast before the gearbox oil has warmed up. Never had an issue getting it to restart after cycling the power. Not that this is going to help you.
