I really shouldn’t be telling you this, but…..
Use a proper dish washer cleaner immediately afterwards. Kills the dodgy smells, and doing the ‘deep cleaning’unasked will win you brownie points.
I’ve just read your wife has fixed the dishwasher, but this may be of use to something. A friend had problem with their machine not draining properly. Apparently a solution was to tip it towards you, and voila, whatever caused the problem fixed itself. Some sort of “known” fault...
I have seen folk using an iron and a wet cloth, the idea being the steam can draw the dents out. I’ve never used it myself, and not sure how effective the hair drier would be. But there again, upholstery leather has a lot of ‘give’ in it, so you never know.
In either case,I’d urge caution.
I used a high tech drainage device (big drill), and everything drains nicely. The bottom has large chunks of polystyrene in it, plus ripped up cardboard, which is s new technique for me. I usually go with a mix of rubble and gravel, then some cut up branches, then soil/compost.
Gearing up for the growing season again. Well, finally cleared the dead plants out of the greenhouse. :ashamed:
My fridge freezer died on me at the beginning of last week, and after a bit of a google, I now have a double raised, insulated garden bed, and a new fridge freezer. Ok, I...
My goodness, me and the 1st hubby attended the 1983 Kent rally. Strangely, I only have a partial memory of that event…. Must have been all that country air.
Buy a slightly larger metal table, but on wheels. Manoeuvre table out of the van, onto the wheeled table. You can then roll both tables into your workshop.
Now here’s the tricky bit.
Buy some decking, build it around the top of the bottom table. Once you add some steps, you can start...
I was given a pack of cacao butter, and another of cacao powder by a friend, because the packs were going out of date. Nothing else to do but make some dark chocolate with it.
Remarkably easy to make, but a wee bit grainy. Not bad, but not as smooth as bought stuff. Also, I never...
Yes, the way round it is to upload images or stl(?) files, I rip…...er…download images from the internet all the time. Even text can be used from windows.
sadly, Cricut decided there was more money to be made making everything else subscription.
My Ring doorbell subscription will renew next week, so I will stay with them for another year. I’ve found it a bit of a godsend, but would never have bought it if it hadn’t been on sale, and refuse to pay that kind of money for the base level plan.
I may just dig out a standard hard wired...
I just use diesel, I’ve considered kerosene, but most places around here only sell it in silly little plastic containers. The heater is quite economical on diesel, and depending on how harsh the winter is, I use between 1 to 2 gallon of diesel a year.
As to the seals, when I opened the...
Forgot to take pictures, but decoked my chinese diesel air heater yesterday. Lordy, it needed it, and my neighbours will appreciate the not having to look at the fog my heater was producing of a morning.
Design thanks to thingiverse, but since I’d just given the resin printer a bit of a service today (including new fep, etc), I decided to push the printing detail a bit To test the setup.
Here we have a Willies Jeep, massively scaled down from the original file. I lost a few really tiny bits...
Got sidetracked with ‘stuff’, as you do, so not done much.
My Old Landy, have you got yourself a decent set of magnifying things? 1:76 is a real challenge I’ve worked hard to avoid. We demand many updates.
I don’t think I posted my last, still not finished work, so here you...
Yes, a friend of mine is left handed, and whenever she wields a kitchen knife, it terrifies me. Her cutting veg just looks so clumsy, and yes, she has tried chopping various fingers off.
