It's got the option to run off an external compressor. Turn a valve and flick a switch.
I will hopefully get time to finally test it out next weekend. Will update on here.
I know my stores delivery warehouse is in Newton Aycliffe, so hopefully west Yorkshire and up to Durham ways has them.
Happy to have a look in another one of my local stores this weekend for someone but I'm not sure how well they would post!
Had a similar problem with a recent welder I picked up, new liner, new contact tip and cleaning the roller grooves (they were packed with crap), as well as fixing the loose connection on the work return lead fixed it. When I bought it, it would tack at best and burn back to the tip. It was sold...
The epoxy I mentioned would do that (has a 20 min working time). But probably massively overkill, any decent 2 part epoxy comes with mixing nozzles so all you have to do is squirt it on and it is perfectly mixed in the right ratios. I'd wanting a 2 part over single pack personally.
I'll second vhb or lSE tape by 3m, again depends on the application being used.
If you want to test vhb before committing to a roll, I should have some knocking around that I could pop a meter or so in the post.
3m dp420, it's structural epoxy used on oil rigs and footbridges etc. Happily tolerates the weather.
As with any glue joint, surface prep is key and do a test piece.
I ended up getting my parts from sealey... Found a sealey compressor with same pump and then a parts diagram and phoned up. They were much cheaper than all of the quotes I had than elsewhere (by about 100 quid).
Brilliant, cheers for that.
Well I've got it apart, took a lot of whacking. Heated up one end (flywheel side) and knocked that bearing through with a big flat screwdriver. Then more beating to get the seized big end off. Cleaned up the crank with some 400 wet and dry and now Just to source a new...
