Thanks. What bugs me is the codes are permanent and come back at ign on- but the no start is intermittent.
No airbag light ?
I agree with @Ubique the RCM is dead and either the crash inhibit is stopping cranking or it is intermittently corrupting the HS network causing the no-start. I would...
Can you clear out the codes, wait until it faults - (not sure how intermittent the no-start is) and post what has come back.
When you say "clicks and shudders" when it faults can you explain a bit more?
Huge thanks to @doubleboost for the adapter - it's a thing of beauty. Ordered up a few X--->1/8NPT for extra flexibility of use.
Even got to watch it being made -
Thanks again John!
I have a pressure sensor/transducer with a M14x1.25 male thread on it, ie spark plug thread size. I also have a bunch of other pressure sensors that have 1/8" NPT male threads on - (ie same size as mechanical gauges). These 1/8"NPTs thread into all of the array of connectors and adapters I have...
This is off our small sailing boat (the big one has RR engines!) it's a late 60's Volvo MD1 puts out a whopping 5hp and weighs as much as the keel. Never worked when we bought the boat and the previous owners had installed a outboard on a drop plate on the transom, - which is horrible to use...
I have the same engine, fewer seats
My XK8 has the partial silencer delete and it's pretty good, however a friend has the full delete on his convertible and it sounds lovely.
Uni-T makes good stuff at reasonable prices.
I have this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283882488770
UT210E
Which is great for automotive use as it has a 2A DC scale that I can pick up a 100ma parasitic drain with. Of course if you want it for household use then they have alternatives.
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-use-rsync-to-sync-local-and-remote-directories faaaaar to complicated.. and as I mentioned windows and android!
I hate windows. Not once in 8 years of using Linux have I been told that I can't turn my computer on/off because "updates" ...
I have 2 (Windows) laptops that I take to site and often create large-ish (150Mb) oscilloscope files on, but I like to look at the data on the big screen of the (Linux) desktop at home.
Conversely before I go to site I will have filled a folder on the desktop with manuals, drawings and other...
I used to fix RO watermakers on the Superyachts and they all used CAT pumps for the high pressure side, these would run solidly for months at a time - with salt water of course, I used to keep a stock of re-build kits and do them once a year. Never had to replace the actual pump itself.
Can be but the roof sensor fault above you would not see it any other way, too fast for the scan tool to see - but slow enough for the control module to have a hissy fit. Voltage is the same on good and bad. - But of course I started with a scan tool to ID the culprits, then a test light on the...
@Ubique You can save waveforms for viewing on the scope and you can save a screen capture - on mine the capture is buggy with the side of the screen in the middle, probably sorted by now. You can plug in and it's just a USB drive. Battery is a good 4hrs. Used it today to look at the...
With the 4425A you can go to almost 14hrs on a screen and still get 100,000 samples/sec, though in reality with masks, triggers and alarms not sure you would need too.
Back to the OP's actual question about a handheld I also have one of these

Sure I don't have a problem but I do have 4 'scopes
and..
6 pressure/vacuum sensors
2 HT lead voltage sensors
2 differential pressure sensors (intake and exhaust)
2 COP sensors
3D motion sensor
KESY sensor (for Keyless entry and other stuff 140kHz)
433Mhz pick up (Key fobs)
Parking...
You want BNC to 4mm https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hantek-HT30A-Automotive-Banana-Adapter/dp/B01F7DN42A/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2NJCH36O8C7TJ&keywords=hantek+cable&qid=1642524699&sprefix=hantek+cable,aps,79&sr=8-4 then these sort of backprobes...
Best bang for your buck would be a 2 ch Pico 2204A which you hook to a laptop. Available for about £100-150. You can test out the (none automotive) software for free https://www.picotech.com/downloads Pico 6 is the existing software but there is a huge update to Pico 7.
You will need to spend at...
