I never had a chinese machine but a friend had one and replaced it by a Fronius made Castotig.
For an experienced welder there ist a noticeable difference in welcding performance, but a unexperienced hobby user might not notice it, and would be happy with the results a cheap chinese machine...
Hi,
I have one OTC DTX 202 which I don´t need anymore.
It´s made by cea in italy.
If a slightly used second hand machine (located in germany) is fine for you that might be an option....

Hi,
as mentioned before any quality single phase DC tig set will do the job. Proper arc starts and arc stability is way more important than duty cycle.
Pulse helps a lot to achieve a consistant look of the weld. I usually use slow pulse (1-1.5hz) even if many machines I used offer khz pulse.
I...

Hi Nick,
personally I don´t like the original Fronius made steelsheet pedal. Therefore I would build my own based on a another design like the Gessmann P7 or ssc pedal.
You could buy a ssc pedal from the states with the right pot value (2k if I remember right) and add the little simple board the...
I have a Fronius Pulse remote and also a cooler (which is for the Castolin 2002) which might be of interest.
The remote is like new, the cooler used but in working order.
Moin, ich hab da noch nen Pulser und den Unterbaukühler den ich derzeit nicht mehr brauche.
Vielleicht ist das was für Dich?
Hi,
final current should be percentage of the main amps.
So when welding at 100A, and set to 25% it levels down to 25A crater fill amps before shut down.
Hi,
looks good for the first try.
The machine is mady by Stel in italy, maybe you find more information on their manual.
Here you will find one:

Hi,
yes, it´s a rebranded Stel machine.
Here is a PDF of the Stel manual.
In the Murex manual I allready send is the information you need to fit a pedal to the machine.
You will find the information you need in the Stel manual too.
Hi,
I once fitted a pedal (Gessmann made) for the Stel tig up 353, which should have the same interface as yours.
Here you should find the information needed.

Hope that helps.
Hi,
if it´s the Sanrex made Arcmaster (which is a great machine, I used to have a 200A version) the attaches pic should help to check the remote.
All you need is a multimeter to check if the pedal is right for the machine.
Hi,
I don´t own that machine, but it seems that you have to open the cover to get access to the 3 little pots on the board to change these parametres with a little screwdriver. It´s not possible to get there from outside.

On page 57 from the manual you will find the position on the board.
