Need to reseal a thermostat housing on the van. Don’t have a new paper gasket. Would just a bead of silicone gasket sealer do the job just as well without the proper gasket? Could do with getting van sorted asap. Cheers

Mate of mine had a broken TV he was going to take to the tip. He put it out by his car and went back in the house for more stuff. In the meantime someone helped themselves to the broken TV. The funny thing was, the broken TV was returned the following day
Can’t get my head around why folks skip useful stuff rather than advertise it for money of free to collect.
Only stuff I throw out is totally useless has all the nuts and bolts and parts removed as a ‘just in case’ I need them. My Dad did the same.
Trying to work out how much water is in my garage cum loft heating system. Two single and one double radiators (all medium size) If I’m right the average single holds around 7 litres - is that correct? With the boiler and pipe runs I’m thinking 35 litres or there about.
