Really as title, is there actually any difference between the 160tm and 160en models?
The spec seems the same, the only difference appears to be the chassis?
Hang on!!
Do you mean Silverline or Snap on?
If you mean the snap on/ceborra 2135 then thats a good little welder.
If you mean Silverline then as a rule of thumb most of their stuff is tat!!
I've used the 1 man dollies to tow minis about the country with sucess in the past. I'm not sure about how legal they are(I always removed the rotor arm to make sure it was broken down!!)
They do seem a common sight behing motorhomes, although some of them are braked.
I'm not sure if the...
Well I'd love to report that I've got a nice shiney new chest(tool)!!
However.......
Halfords strike again!!
Turns out they gave my chest away to someone else as they had snapped the key off in the storage container!!
"Ok then, can I take the display one?"
"Errmm, yes I...
Minis are my speciality!!
Use an air chisel tp remove the factory sound deadening, saves hours!!
Watch out for the foam in the roof corners
Also the horsehair type carpets leave fibres behind that are VERY VERY flammable!!
Brace the shell if your doing a lot of cutting to the sills...
I do quite a bit car welding/restoration(mainly minis). I do this as a sideline to my main job and I usually charge around the £25-£30 per hr for it. Actually thats not really true because I just quote for the job.
I'm pretty much fully booked till June now.
There's tons of this kind of...
Thanks guys, I think I've made up my mind to go with the Ceborra, its virtually as new, no burn marks on the earth, torch is mint and still has 3/4 of a small reel of wire left. I think it done next to nothing work wise.
Even better is that its got a BOC bottle with it, as I've got a BOC...
Ok then bit more info, I'm starting to get asked to do more and more mobile welding jobs(on rusty minis!)
I've got a Butter 1800 which I use in my workshop, however its waaaayyy to big to be carrying around to do mobile stuff.
I've been offered an as new Snap on 2135(ceborra) for £150 with...

Some people like to remove them to give the car a smoother look.
Personally I don't like it , but each to their own
Thats the problem, I don't want the lad to kill himself, just to be proved right!!
Its all brazed up now and grinding all that braze off and migging it up properly would be a nightmare
No, deseaming minis has been around since the dawn of time!!!
(even if it looks terrible)
The brazing concerns me, as I also though it would crack.
Bearing in mind that most of the braze will have been ground back to smooth it off and then body filler applied.
The usual way is to do...
Hi, nice work and don't fret too much about the bracing, I've done loads of minis and wouldn't have braced the shell for that repair either!!
I trust you will be fitting proper sills and ditching the oversills?!!
To be honest as a Butters 1800amt owner I am reasured by this thread!!
If Butters will go to these lengths to help someone who effectively butchered their own brand new machine in a futile attempt to save a couple of quid, then I can only assume that they would help me in similar way should I...
