Its more about rope life, as long as you dont go below the recommended pulley diameter for the wire rope you are using you should be good for 400,000 bending cycles on the rope.

I picked out a few big Huskies the other day that hadn't been run for at least twenty years, tipped out the tanks and filled with fresh fuel, they all started after a few pulls. I dont think storage is a problem as long as its dry.

A few things to consider, more power will mean something with an ecu and will need stand alone wiring. Gearing, its a truck so a car transmission will have totally unsuitable overall gearing, especially considering the tall tyres fitted to older vans and the aerodynamics of a garden fence panel...
The gas forklift I have is a Hyster H50, just over 2 ton lift and is on fairly chunky tyres, ok on any hard standing but will sink out of site on the soft. Very greedy on gas, gets through a couple of bottles a month on general yard duty Recently bought a Linde with an air cooled diesel and a...
No one machine will do eveything, for inside work a stand on will do most of what is asked of it, outside/offroad but hardstanding you need something like @nickk 's got and when its in the bloodnguts its telehandler time.

I bought a 4wd Transit with an engine problem, found another low mileage engine with a piston problem and was going to rebuild that so the van wasn't in bits for weeks, I am going for one of the Apex kits.
Bob...
Seems to be a common problem on piston 3, guy was telling me ford did a remap to stop this so god knows why there wasn't a recall. Loads of rebuild kits on the bay of thieves for around £500

Never really thought about the noise, I do most of my tyre repairs out in the yard and cant say I have noticed the cheaters being that loud. I would imagine inside they could possibly be a tad noisy, my hearing isnt that good anyway:dontknow:
Bob
Cant think of a reason why they would have put cautionary stickers on something like this, worst case would be an eye full of crap/dust. Nothing safety specs wouldn't take care of:dontknow:
Bob
You could knock up a bead cheater using a gas bottle, that said they are not expensive.
This one will seat a truck tyre, wouldn't take much of a bottle to seat a 10".
I have never seen a knobbed clutch centre spline either, seen plenty of centres ripped out. We do get similar couplings on hydraulic motors suffering this problem, I think its down to the lack of a cushion drive and possibly the small amount of clearance when new growing with age, once that...
Its all achievable if you throw money at it. Charge cooling, piston oilers, ceramic piston/head/valve coatings, Oringed block, sort out the guide seals, mappable ecu, knock sensors, exhaust gas temp sensors. Unless you are going low blow you will be into most of the aforementioned if you want it...
I am liking the idea of the tct blades sandwiched between spacer plates, my worry would be the amount of chip/ green waste passing through and the ability of those sharp tips grabbing at material it can’t cut.
Bob.
I think thats going to grab the material and jamb, I would stick with the single rotor and make an adjustable finger anvil. You can then play with through feeds/bite by adjusting the anvil
