I've got 5 of these big alloy handles but have no idea what their intended use is. Certainly too big for drawers but the centre hole suggests a lock. Any thoughts?
Seem to be good quality but unbranded.
Nice sets, all!
Does anyone know where I could find a list of the different Britool sockets sets produced? I'm trying to match up the loose sockets with the tins I have to (hopefully) make a couple of full sets. Thanks!
It can't quite tell, but it looks like you're using chopped strand glass fibre which does inevitably leave a rough finish. You could try woven fibreglass (like the stuff they use on surfboards) as it gives a nicer finish with less sanding to do afterwards. Just an idea if it saves a bit of time.
Can you use a bit of the smaller radius stuff to get the shape you want but then intertwine it with more of the same and add a few welds to hold the whole thing together? Sounds like it might give you the organic look you're aiming for.
Hi all,
Hope this is OK to post here...
Having a clear out and have a roll of about 40m of stainless steel sheet that's approximately 0.15mm thick and 136mm wide.
Any idea what a sensible asking price would be for the lot? I never use stainless so have no idea.
TIA
Hi I've recently purchased a lathe on a bit of a whim. It's a Flexispeed Mk1 I believe although the original chuck and twin pulleys are missing having been replaced with a single pulley and a standard drill chuck (as shown in the pics).
I've not tried to run it yet as I want to check the...
I appear to have found one on ebay but the seller wants £3.50 for a single nut. Cheaper than a new set of pedals I guess.
Although Graffian you're not far from me so maybe I'll come round and have a sweep up!
Hi I'm after a single M6x0.75 (fine), left hand threaded full nut (for a bicycle pedal)
Can't believe I'm having to start a thread to source something that costs about 15p but I'm struggling to find anywhere online to buy one.
If anyone has one or can suggest somewhere I can look please let me...
Evening all,
I'm posting this on behalf of a mate who's had an issue with some camera equipment he's got and would like for it to be repaired. (See below photos)
Clearly the original design is not particularly robust as he has a few that have broken like this and the material does look a...
Gutted to say a bollard got the better of my rear wheel arch this morning.
I understand silver is a tricky colour to match so am I best to take it to a bodywork shop where they have all the right gear or are the mobile repairers able to tackle something like this? Bodywork was mint prior to...
I wouldn't bother telling the insurer about any additional immobilisers/locks/bollards you install. Sure, you might sav a few quid on your policy but you can bet your life the one time you forget to arm the alarm or lift the bollard is the one time your vehicle will get nicked... and then the...
Well I may have found the solution to my own question thanks to a very swift response from SIP as per below:
"There is also an internal battery that may be a little low on charge if it hasn’t been used in a while.
This battery isn't replaceable and is usually recharged via the solar panel on...
Hi,
I have a SIP 2300F auto-darkening helmet that I've owned for a couple of years. I've come to use it after a couple of months of no use (due to lockdown) and found that the auto darken function is not working properly. Essentially it stays dark as soon as the batteries are installed - almost...
I weld just for a hobby but I really love making stuff - usually just one off projects in my spare time for me and the family. Anyway, for a while I've been using those disposable CO2 bottles which we all know are expensive for what they are. I had a few empty ones lying around the garage...
