Looking for recommendations for someone or a company that does drawings, beam spec, calcs for steel frames. Really wanting the whole package so we can work from the drawings.
As the title suggests im looking for a part time welder to help out when I'm busy or even to welders so I dont have to be there at all. I have other work commitments aswel so would be nice to take the pressure off me, looking for the best place to advertise a part time position.
I phoned barretts Thursday wanting a quote for a few tons of 3mm, the chap on the phone said the bigger companies are taking artic loads at a time stocking up. Hardly surprising there is a shortage.
Just out of interest has anyone been to c roberts at Rotherham? I was waiting in there loading...
This is looking through the a40 (sorry but this was the first thing I came across to get a photo) it would be clearer if the lens was new but seriously its clear and its just as clear when welding. Go for the a40 you won't regret it. The grind button on the outside is a big advantage aswel.
I have the a40 its a nice helmet and ive used it daily for about 6 months maybe abit less, never had any issues with it. I like the material its made from its very flexible not like some other helmets ive had in the past. The true colour is pretty good. I do have a video of me looking through it...
The place I get my parts cut now has a 6kw laser, ive had parts cut from 20mm mild steel and the holes had no taper. If it did i couldnt see it. They're usually 2 days turn around and very reasonable, makes it hard to justify buying a cnc.
I've just ordered some from him his name is matt, jacket and trousers £20. Not bothered about the trousers but if they fit il probably wear them. Thanks for the heads up.
The only advise I can give anybody is dont wait until you need the steel to buy it, they will have your pants down everytime. Try to stock it if you can.
Steel plate is getting silly aswel, many companies bidding on seconds, even thats hard to come by now. This is mainly bent, scratched or heavily rusted or all 3. Surprising how many companies accept seconds.
Yes I understand that, the c+e is just something I want to do just incase we decide to go bigger one day. Thanks for all the help everyone its a big help.
