Heres the info I borrowed off of someone else when I first read into using the breather system to lubricate on board ac.
"start by hard wiring the AC's clutch via a relay and a dash switch. you will need to bypass the low and high pressure switches, i was going to use the high pressure switch...
Another vote for Tegera. Somebody on here recommeded smaller gloves that were used by their wife I think. Really nice fit so plenty of dexterity. Small handed so no longer feels like I have potato sacks on my fingers. Only £9 delivered.
Been running a Terrano on 80%-90% svo all winter. Will happily run waste oil after it has been dewatered and filtered to 1mc. Burning used oil from the indian gave the exhaust a nice spicy aroma.
Found some thin sheet, ground the paint off, chopped it up and attempted to stick it back together again.
Its 0.8mm thick as you can see not all the tacks penetrated through. I did blow some holes but then tried to fill them back up.
Needed to have quite along stick out of wire so that I...
Im mainly learning to keep my truck on the road. So welding will only be body and chassis thickness only at the moment. I will find some thinner metal and give that a shot thanks.
Thanks alot. At first I did not realise how close I had to position my face to the pool to be able to see what was going on. Throwing the torch over my shoulder made it much easier to keep it at the correct angle. Not sure if that is how other have to do it but it seems too stiff to hold it...
Would this then need slower movement till the arc is established then back to normal speed?
Im in no way blaming the machine for what is in the pictures as I have very little experience of welding. Just trying to understand what is happening so I have a rough idea of how to change what im doing...
Got hold of an adaptor so the 5kg reel is now sitting snugly inside the sip. Better extension lead too.
Only had a short time to lay a few beads. Left side is new and right last time I had a shot. Not much better I kbow but got more time this weekend to practise.
One issue I did find was that...
Personally im unsure. As i have an old indirect injection engine so its not an issue. Wouldnt want to give you the incorrect advice an cause problems with your van. I think on newer direct injection engines people use twin tanks and some engine are just not suitable.
Will give these things a shot if I can rope in a helper. I ran out of wire so was looking forward to trying the nice new reel of lincoln wire I got. Then discovered the sip only takes 1kg reels and I had ordered a 5kg one.
More practice this morning but seems im all over the place. Tried speeding up my movement but still stuggling with getting my wire speed/tension right i think.
I had one for years and it was very reliable. Only got stuck once when the clutch cable snapped as the plastic cover had fallen off. Other then that it only needed oil changes and disks/pads.
As others have said its quite a short ratio box so on the motorway at 70 you are sat at near 4k revs...
Got some time to get practice in and this was how it turned out. Will try and give all the details
Using and old Sip 130, 0.8 wire an 2mm thick box. Also I have to run from an extension lead, unrolled it fully. Its rated at 10amps but dont know its wire thickness.
Got a copy of the manual from...
