Ive been running a Gasless clarke 160 for over 10 years.. and to be honest its done me proud. But it is a bit ruff. Lots of clean up. Splatter, damp wire is a nightmare. The duty cycle is poor. I have to stop what im doing and wait for it to recover.
Ive started to sell some of my products...
Ive got a product that needs nuts welded onto it. Ive seen handheld stud welders. Where it spot welds a thread stud onto what you need. But i need todo the same thing with nuts. Is there such a tool
So the ESAB will do everything... including the ply and MDF dust..
Which filters do i need.. or is there only the one type and they cover everything.
Is it quick to switch from welding to a standard shield
I really need to get myself air fed mask. Ive had a stabbing head ace for two days now and i think its from welding or grinding fumes/ dust.
Ive looked around and read some posts but there seems to be so many different options. P3 seems to pop up alot.
Ive got a 8" extractor with a 8"...
Is that a Tig welding thing? With the pulse setting and a foot peddle? I definitely could do with a decent welder. Mine a gasless with near enough only one setting
:(:(
its a clarke gasless ive had for 15 years. Genuinely does a decent looking weld on thicker metal. It only has 4 setting but is useless on anything but the most powerfull setting
Just handling oily metal. The oil that protects it. And cutting oil from the band saw while cutting, marking out grinding ect. I then chuck tig gloves ontop to weld. I dont need them for proper oily jobs.
Its 1/2" box section 1.2mm thick onto 20mm angle. Its kind of over before you get into the swing of things. I can image a decent welder would set up and do a much better job than me though i find 2/3mm much easyer
Im not sure if ill get in with a finger file or flapper. Its quite tight. Its really thin metal so had to work quickly so it doesnt blow though. Also getting welded while in a jig
