Hi All,
Got a Burisch 3hp belt drive compressor, which has had very little use. I use it on an extension will with blue commando sockets, and it gets plugged into a 16 amp circuit with a type C breaker that I also use for my MIG.
The thing won't run. I've checked the extension lead, all good...
Brought one for a fiver off the car boot because the fuse had gone and it only runs on the fastest setting.
Worth it's weight in gold many times over for what it cost. Got an air one as well but it seems no where as powerful....
Yep ordered mine when he's just split with his Mrs, who also was involved with the business I believe. Anyway when he did get in contact he was uber helpful and the machine was as good as everyone promised. Only one weak point now - me!
My step dad has two sheets to steel on the deck with lots of grease between them....and parked the bike on top of the top one...making a very crude turntable....
As pdf said. I invested best part of a £100 in a EuroTorch - it was better but absolutely no comparision to the Portamig that I brought....put the £100 towards a better set - you'll not regret it. My biggest regret was buying the Sip before finding out about this forum....
I heard that a properly working viscous will shovel more air than an electric, and will be more reliable. And if you go wading tie it to something unlovable with a cable tie until you get to the other side of where you're wading....
No idea re DVLA and the body swap - I guess along as you meet the points criteria you can keep the original registration. Or do you buy a D2, and treat it like a normal chassis swap?
Yep 2 door IBEX - would be my choice - th pickup looks better but I'd need to be practical and have SWB hard top...
