I found this thread as I have an MGB petrol tank with internal corrosion that I needed to remove. I learnt via the power of the internet that the Bilt Hamber deox C is likely anhydrous citric acid, and the quantity I need would likely be £100 at £20/kg. 5kg of citric acid for £20 on Internet...
I would avoid a cheap unit and stick with a known brand. I bought one and it was okay until the temperature dropped when it would stop working until it warmed up enough.
Have sent a few cengar saws back for a service over the years (my employer uses them offshore and they take a beating). Last few times (admittedly a few years back) they got a service and a coat of paint for around £100.
Been decades since I was involved with a celette jig base, but you used to be able to hire the brackets for whatever car you were working on. If that’s still the case, hire a set and make your own based on the hired set dimensions? My involvement as a teenage working in the school holidays was...
Lots of building sites around my way (Wokingham). Needed a few bricks like you. Walking the dog past one of the sites noticed a huge pile of bricks. Asked the site manager, he arranged for a pallet of bricks salvaged from the pile to be left outside for me to collect at my leisure. Wouldn’t take...

Food for thought, thanks all. For the GRP, does it all have to done in one go? Can you do the drip edges one day, go back and do 1 half of the roof covering the next etc then topcoat all together?
I’m quite happy to have a go at either options, but knowing I could break it down into stages...
Evening all. I’m in the process of extending my shed at the bottom of the garden, and am having a bit of a quandary regarding what to cover the roof with. The existing covering on the original shed is torch on felt, and has been faultless for the last 10 years. It was fitted by my neighbour who...
I want an English wheel like Pressbrake makes. No need for one, no money for one and no idea how to use one, but I want one. @Stueeee , enjoy your investment
I have a Cube Reaction ebike, and have been so impressed with it. I sold my car during lockdown as between the wife and I we had two cars and a van going nowhere and bought the bike for local trips and it’s been a revelation for myself being somewhat sturdy and unfit. I had not heard of Cube...
