Hi
@knighty parts ordered i'm going for a 4amp breaker D type. I spoke to an electrician onsite this morning and he agreed with your suggestion (i did ask this chap before xmas when the problem originally arose and he was less than helpful, thanks to your input i was able to ask more pointed...
Thankyou for the replies
@carbon It is actually the fuse holding cap that I require. I enquired with CEF yesterday and despite them initially being helpful i turned up with the part and was met with 'I don't know where to start with that....try ebay'
@Erie Fred yes that is what i was asking...
Hi All
I bought a second hand guillotine a few months ago and on two occasions it dropped a phase. I traced the issue to these very ancient and poorly repaired bottle fuse holder caps.
I have an order for some replacements coming from Slovenia and Poland as I can't find them elsewhere, I'm not...
Looking at buying new a small hydraulic guillotine and box pane folder.
Does anyone have experience with this manufacturer, good bad or indifferent?
I'm in a position where I have to buy new and budget for both combined is circa £12000
Other suggestions welcomed.
Thanks
If there is one thing I am certain of at this point with individual PPE and 'equipment' based PPE i.e. extraction within the bays we should be better than compliant. We have the regular visits from H&S, LEV surveys and huge bills to prove it !!!!
Hi
I went for 2 off Jasic Mig 200 they are a bit more powerful and were working well but one has gone down this week with the same issue we were having with the R-Tecs. This is now obviously pointing to either the quality of our incoming power or our processes within the factory (grinding dust).
Can anybody recommend a tube supplier, we'll be using it for bending in a production environment so accuracy and consistency are key.
Sizes will be 26.9mm x 2.5mm wall thickness and 38.1mm x 3mm wall thickness.
I've been through a similar process when setting up our bending operations with...
Thank you for the replies, I will give the portamig, Bohler Uranos 2000, and Jasic Pro mig a good going over this morning.
In terms of the Kemppi minarcmig evo 200 it was the quantity of spares that we carry that was putting me off of going to a dedicated torch/manufacturer.
Thanks again for...
Hi All
Looking to make the switch from R-Tec, don't really want to go into the details as to why.
Any recommendations for alternatives?
So far Oxford are out due to the reaction I got when phoning them for information.
Little bit wary of Kemppi as I would have to buy an additional adapter for...
I've recently finished renovating a house all new skirting, architrave, spindles bannisters etc. I used knotting solution from different manufacturers, sometimes two coats and most of it has bled through. It drives me up the wall especially the stretch opposite the loo - for obvious reasons!
I...
Thank you for the replies.
@The_Yellow_Ardvark Yes the fans etc were included in the price and will be added into our usual fire risk/auditing/insurance inspections.
@Parm Thanks, I will definitely get a trial -good suggestion as up until 6 weeks ago it was all repetitive production stuff we...
We have recently had all of our extraction condemned despite it giving flow rates triple the minimum required. This is due to the point of exit on the building not being at roof height, it has been deemed that the fumes could blow in back through the open shutter of the warehouse.
The obvious...
This absolutely, although we have and electric UNI42D. It's taken a hammering and apart from chuck keys (operator error) and one new screen it's been faultless.
We have a similar set and they have been very good for exactly as you describe - occasional use and on light gauge sheet.
I would however avoid Vevor, I'm trying to get some after sales help with a portable bandsaw blades and it's like trying to get sense out of one of the pigeons in the yard.
It's horses for courses, if you're sitting at the bench doing small piece TIG work then I'm sure it will be fine. If you're doing heavy duty stuff and it doesn't stand up then relegate it to 'general work trolley' and have another crack building a more heavy duty one and notch it up to...
