I purchased a roll of gas less wire, , and stored it having procured a argon bottle and a co2 bottle.
I ran co2 for months but decided today after running out of wire to try the gas less wire to Finnish off a wing repair on my old austin devon project.
Result was the gasless wire in the...

Thank you for the reply appreciated and thanks for the link, my original post looks a little disjointed compiling with speech text and not proofreading is fatal so sorry folks I can't edit it now.
Had a better look around it today and all seems well.
I think it might have had a none...
Today my aunt gave me a migatronic 5000 MX she found when clearing out my uncles outbuildings, he passed away last year.
She was uncertain exactly when he got this machine but seem to think it was sometime late 80s early 90s, the welder was used to make a set of gates and then what to put in...
Cheers sean not really late at all as i have not touched the welder yet, and i could soon file the 11 quid euro torch connector in the same plastic bag in the loft as the torch and umbilical. for another welder another day.
But i did however swap the original liner for a proper metal liner at...
Thank you for the advice everyone.
I think it should improve things a little, will do the brace bar mod that looks as if it would work well enough, and might look into the feed motor power suply mod.
On the 130 migmate any specific power supplies to get that would work with the existing feed...

However i am conscious its a budget light hobby machine i can not expect much from it , and do not want to end up for want of a better term trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
I will buy a front...
Thanks i have looked at the mod the brace across the screws there looks a simple one and i can see how it would work.
I have no intentions of changing this mig at the moment, i had an ERFI 170 amp mig 15 years ago it was far superior to this sip, but i simply don't use a mig enough to warrant...
I have a SIP migmate turbo 130 it has done very little work and probably around ten years old now.
My brother gave me it he got it new hardly used it and had wire feed issues from the start.
First thing i did was swap out the liner for a steel one this seemed to improve things a little...
