As some one told me …….
“Just remember , they now have to put a warning sign on household bleach telling you not to drink , and the same in car manuals telling you not to drink screen wash”
Since then nothing shocks me , and I am erring on the second piece of info he gave me …… maybe we...
My daughter passed a few months ago , 17 years old , with a seat Leon , nearly 2.5k … black box , otherwise it would have been more that 3.5k …
One word of warning , follow the letters to the T with the black box , don’t unplug it , it knows when it’s been removed , and knows the extra mileage...
Don’t bother with what is sold as Brick acid .,,,, just buy a 5 litre can of 15% ( max strength i could find online ) hydrochauric acid …. Either dilute it or don’t as I did , it’s nasty and don’t breathe the fumes ,,, it isn’t nice stuff when it’s steaming .
Rotate the drum every ten minute...
I’ve got one of each holster , the smaller one for an impact driver and the larger one for combi / hammer drill . Both mounted most of the time . I’d have to look to see what the drill and impact model numbers are , it’s the smaller of the makita 18v impact but the larger combi / hammer drill ...
Just look for the “new improved formulae/ recipe” . It applies to food aswell as products
My Bain with wood preservative is that now instead of a fence post lasting ten years plus , it’s barely 6 in wet ground . So basically we’re using less chemicals , but cutting down twice the amount of...
I use the toughbuilt system , it is chunky but very good , I have 6 different pouches / attachments which I change around depending on what I am doing .
I have two drill holsters , one for impact , one for drill as they are different sizes and the drill falls out the smaller pouch .

Snatched a trv yesterday , sliding the olive off and the whole time saying to myself don’t forget the old nut , over and over again , got the new one on quick tightened it up , then sat there looking at the nut on the pipe ….. Fridays :clapping:
I can ask tomorrow at the merchants for you , but being an item not used a lot / almost obsolete, they will cost baldy .
If you are willing to go with the type of manifold / port I linked to , they do a 2 / 3 / 4 port versions , so you you could use a 2 and 3 .and it would be around £5 per...
You can , and it’s been known , that am 8mm pipe will fit and solder into 10mm pipe , I haven’t done it , but have seen it .
You can buy 10mm to 8mm reducer couplings . And I am sure if you ask around locally you might be able to blag a short length of 10mm pipe / oil pipe .some merchants will...
Like this …
The 4 port fits directly into a fitting . The trick was to make it up with approx 150mm of 10mm tails . Solder it all up , then connect on as needed ,
The brass 4 port unit , would solder into any 22mm fitting , you could cut out your existing manifold . Then solder on a tee , with one branch going to your drain off . The other branch you solder the union into , I’ll do a drawing in a moment .
If you can scrounge a bit of 22mm pipe just a...
You
you could either use a series of 22 x 22 x 10 copper tee’s , the last number denotes the branch size . Solder them in line , so all the 10mm branches face out to make a DIY manifold , or if you want to go down the route of pushfit or similar try Screwfix 217KR .
If your willing to order...
Do yourself a favour and don’t fit gate valves , get yourself some lever valves , gates are crap and will seize again . Lever valves are a 90 degree operation and less likely to fail , and will them being a handle , easier to operate in hard to reach areas plus if someone has issues with...
You don’t necessarily need to use a bandsaw , I just used it bulk it down , you can just use the router and plunge cut it , the same as if you were doing a worktop . 10mm passes and repeat .
I just have a bandsaw , so use it . But it is not critical to have one to do the job .
If your willing to laminate them , I’d make a MDF / ply template , get a router with appropriate bush on jt , the same used for worktop jigs and a long 1/2” spiral cutter . It’s what I do on morticing green oak . You could easily do two 50mm thick sections . And using a jig / template they would...
Don’t worry , it’s messed up for sure , the price of Douglas fir from a local saw mill went up by 50% in one hit about 4 years ago as the timber he was buying , locally was being bought up for biomass . Whole trees felled and chipped , not the waste , the whole tree . Perfectly good usable...
I think the whole fairy farming world is about to be turned upside down . My basic understanding is that from a set date , all farms will have to be able to store a full years worth of manure , and only be able to spread it on the land for a very short window , ie weeks .
This is so called to...
Even though I am in south Somerset , near Ilminster , close to the Devon border I use a company in Honiton , Devon , https://www.southernfuels.co.uk/
They do have various depots around here , but some down as far a Collumpton . Worth giving them a call .
Could only do 500 as when the original elec company went pop we got shoved to British A$$ , and they’ve messed up things from the start , making up readings , even though we enter them monthly , and as a thankyou they decided to take just over £500 when it should of been £140 . So left short of...
