Yes I totally agree with you but I'm burning back on tips at 24v and yes I do get spatter but a light brush over with a scrapper or the cat licking it and it falls off
I don' generlly have it as high as that but for some weird reason when on 4T if I have volts at my normal 22-23 then it doesn't cut in good enough on the toes where as if I'm on 2T then I don' have this problem!
Cheers
Hi guys, I've recently started using 4T on my jasic 350 mig settings at 11 on wfs and 24v welding some brick angles out of 10mm plate (10 mm fillet welds)
After 10 minutes or so of weld these beasts I find my self having to change tips all the time and I think it' snagging further back in the...
You probably can't see it due to the weld but I did fettle the rusty and scale off and as for throat it measures 6mm but angle of pic probably don't show it properly
I have being cleaning the pfc as it had some rust on it but as for the flat plate I didn't as it only had the slag on it. Stuff I made 3 years ago is still standing so must be doing something right lol. Anyway I thought I'd clean flt plt as well and results are much better imo. I'll take some...

Tis 1st time spraying tbh just thought I'd try it but don't think I need to go spray arc as steel is 12mm plate and 200x75x23 pfc so I think 12.5 wfs and 25v is ample as its giving 250 amps ish. Thanks for your reply mate
Cheers pal. Took those this morning but just noticed the line running along the weld/run but I think it's either centre of the arc or the crown of the throat if that makes sense lol what do you think?
Check this website http://www.jasic.co.uk/manuals-24-w.asp there's a 450s there but there isn't a 400 which is odd as that's the set I've got lol but Kent your right about the water cool being a extra pal
Thanks for quick reply pal.
I think it's almost in spray as it's almost got a nice hissing sound to it maybe needs 1 more volt but you may be able to tell me otherwise?
