I just bought a Sealy self tinting screen and i cant believe the difference its made to my welds.
Before i used to get all set up and line the torch up then by the time i pulled the mask down my hand would have moved and i've sprayed a load of muck all over the place before getting the torch...
I've allways prefered .6 for thin stuff. When i first learnt to weld i was working in a steel fabrications company and we used .8 for everything so thats what found its way into my mig. But after i started using .6 i dont think i've ever gone back. At least not for welding panels.
