All done !
Went for a couple of cycles of blowing the dust out with compressed air alternating with brushing the hole with an old toothbrush !
Thanks again

Hi all,
I'm looking at using a few chemical anchors into concrete block (m12 threaded rod about 100mm deep is the plan).
Is it enough to blow out the dust with an airline or is brushing out the hole with the steel brushes also necessary?
This isn't a critical load but obviously I want to...
Thanks again. As @MetalMonkey and others said, my reference to car tyres is because that's my experience to date for tyres and pressures. A sheltered life.
The advice regarding pressure helping avoiding damage from kerbing, potholing and overheating are all good to know.
Hi All,
I've a new to me trailer with 195/55R10C tires under it - it's a small (6x4) ifor williams.
The tyre pressure for these tyres seems to be 90 psi which is a lot coming from car tyres.
The trailer gross weight is 1000 kg, so maximum 500 kg per tire. For now it will be much less lightly...
Hi All,
If anyone has experience with a Belle 150 mixer - how hot does the gearbox get in normal use ?
I have one that is newish and after about 20 mins continuous mixing, the gearbox is hot. Hot enough that I can just about keep my hand on it for a few seconds but probably no longer.
Is...
Hi @Bsmith - I think a have a line on a ratchet type threader - if it doesn't happen, I'll be back to you about the one you have - many thanks.
@Dickthedark - I know you're trying to save me from hard work by suggesting the electric option but I'll be doing this job in between other things and...
I'm hoping a manual threader will suffice for anything I need to do. The point about the vice is well made @Agroshield - I'll see if something can be found or improvised!
Good to have the feedback on the cheap vs expensive @frank horton and the note re the need for cutting lube.
At the risk...
Hi All,
I see some maintenance on iron central heating piping in my future. 1 inch and 1/2 inch BSP.
In order to make up new pipe sections, I figure I'm going to need to cut taper BSP male threads in these sizes. The tools seem to range from cheap to eye-watering. I figure a good condition...
As a data point, I have one of these welders and the wire speed is correct by my reckoning between 5 and 7 or so over the range of voltages.
May be worth checking the wire isn't slipping in the wire feed rollers due to them not being tight enough ?
There are solder type contacts available for these connectors as an alternative to the crimp contacts.
I think this pin will fit the housing:

The catalog can be seen at:

I'm wondering if this is the type :

The 3D view allows you to see the key positions.
If the motor cannot be re-connected for lower voltage, then the volts/Hz scaling arrangement in this note might be useful. It has some limitations etc. but good to know about.

Interesting! For sure @Sergei Slovenija the chain I found looks to be for a different drive type once I see your post above.
Searching some more, it looks like your chain may be known as a roller type piv chain ?
I wonder is it worth contacting one or two of the PIV chain companies to see if...
From googling, it seems this is a stepless variable speed drive ?
Is the chain maybe of this type ?

And a company that might be able to advise on repair:
