mate i have exactly the same machine bought 1 week ago...my advice although limited is change the c02 to a argon mix and get a decent regulator it made all the difference to my welds and makes it far easier to use imo
took everyones advice got myself sorted out with a argon mix...wow what a complete difference this has made im guessing either the c02 regulator was faulty or some other issue but this has totally transformed my welds and the sound everything only had 15 mins with it but the difference is night...
thanks for the tips..this cars main function will be track use however it still needs to be good enough to pass a mot so it can be driven to events but as you say plenty of products that can be used to enhance my finish
yeah ive kinda inadvertantly let myself into a full restoration on a very rusty s13 nissan for my wife as we cannot afford to pay anyone so its down to me haha
bought a mig welder on saturday practised on a new mercedes wing with some clean sheet steel and was fairly pleased with my progress,ok on the penertration etc so chucked myself into some overhead welding on a chassis thats when things have become dissapointing,ive had a lot of splattered untidy...
hello all by reading the threads on here i think i may have got through 2 bottles of gas already since saturday ? does that sound right its a clarke 135te with the silly little bottles
so whats the best upgrade? im presuming if i need bigger bottles of gas id be better going for a carbon/argon...
