Sbr, not pva. Yes a slurry mix may work as it will just fill the voids and once dry the excess can be scrubbed off. If you go that route I would use Sbr. If you use Sbr you will be putting a skim coat on top and how long that will last I'm not sure. Just pour and squeegee and remove as...
Some of the guys forget they where once young and there attitude puts the young off. Everybody has knowledge to share regardless of age. The young learn from the experienced but the experienced can learn a lit from the youth. We have intelligent youth even tho school standards have dropped...
I did have something useful to say but you didn't understand. The fact that you were so derogatory about the seller, calling someone a waste of space as they didn't drain a compressor when your non to smart.
For cabihet use go with AO, glass beads are good after initial cleaning and blasting with AO if the parts are not being coated as it leaves a nice finish and the peening action of the glass beads helps prevent corrosion. Crushed glass is cheap but you have a lot if spent media to dispose of so...
No wheels, kept them and already paid to have the tyres disposed. But anyway that's what I was thinking. I can have it taken for free so that's no problem. Only got £50 for the last car, that was complete but was 20 year old so no much demand for parts. Thanks anyhow guys
I have recently finished breaking a corolla t sport. All that is left is the shell minus 1 wing and 1 door, drives shafts, front subframe and rear torsion beam. What sort of money should i get from the scrappy if they collect? Also a stainless exhaust from a sv650, and scrap value in that?
Good to know, I'll stick with me normal airline for outside. Not that I use it much, prefer my own strength over a windy gun.
I'm not keen on the idea of outside airlines unless lagged in the winter?
Fully approved. Wouldnt like to have an incident with non approved equipment if your running a business. Inspectors might not be best pleased neither. Depends on location I suppose?
You can achieve good results with a hobby style gun. Just make sure you get a dual voltage so you can do more than one coat. Clean air and a dedicated ground are key and blasting facilities for good prep.
Manicman, oven is looking good.
I gather you only have production style shops hear you? What sort of problems have you been experiencing? Once my air system is finished I will be up and running again. Quite happy to do odd items for forum members at a good rate. Things like swing arms are not too expensive to post.
Dont waste money on Yorkshire fitting, need soldering anyway. I'm at the same point just fitted the 22mm taps and now weighing up the best way to connect to the air supply.
