Quick update
I think i may have found the problem the pump drive sits in a slotted drive on the puller and it is very worn and it appears that when the pump is under load it slips but with no load it pumps , i have ordered a new puller so will see if that works
Update oil getting to pump ok ,oil getting to port P on valve ok, oil coming out of port A and B ok when pipe removed at valve and valve actuated ,disconnected both pipes from ram and oil dribbles out when you hold valve open for a while, nowhere near as much as comes out when ports A or B are...
answers to a few of the suggestions ,the hydro drive is the same drive belt , no oil at ram when disconnected and its a manual control and it uses the same oil tank as the drive
its a etesia mvehh the pump runs off the drive belt so powered all the time engine running ,cant see a pressure test point on parts drawing, its located in blackpool.
had a few minutes today first picture is the pump second is one of the rams, undid the pipe from the ram and there was no flow with actuator in either position, didn't have time to check the return to the tank yet think that's next, then i think i will check the pipe to the pump from the tank...
if i am understanding it of what i have seen on youtube ,the control valve has 4 ports A B P T so if its how i understand it i should have a constant flow from the T port when pump running
not sure if anyone can help ,we have bought a ride on mower which has a pair of hydraulic rams which operate the grass box ,which do not function we knew this before we bought it but it was the right price, but im not sure where to start fault finding ,there are only a few components a pump...
after reading a few other sites i think its just a magnetic starter i need as supply comes out of a rotary isolation switch and because there is a neutral there i can have coil either 400v or 230v am i correct with my assumption.
