Hi eschen ive got one.
110v it hasnt got any adjustment so runs flat out. To be honest when i can i use a cordless drill for the speed control. It gets your hands tingling so dont use it for too long. It is better than our air die grinder though.

Why not ask another brikky to have a look at the work and give you a reasonable price what it would cost. Offer a few quid for his trouble then you'll know we're you stand.
My nephew is a bricklayer and gets £450 per thousand which can be laid in no time but it does depend on the type of work.
Isn't there such thing as a poor mans patent. From what I heard you take detailed photos, measurements, video (all the detail you can)
Then you seal it all up and post it to yourself. Then it will have a postal date on it. You then keep it for the future ( unopened ) in case of claims etc.

I've got the same tig and it's marvellous but I've got nearly twice the amount he's charging for it in mine (also purchased from eBay).

We've ran it on long extensions on site...

If you do want to do it look after yourself and think about number one.
I used welderfix to repair my murex ac/dc.
It cost 4 times more than the over the phone quote and when I got it back there was a nice dent in the casing.
The welder does now work though.
I had two nests on my lawn last year so poured petrol on them and watched them burn :flame:It did the trick, however they seemed to move back this year but into the wall cavity of my house and made a home under the window sill (inside). I found this out when we got a new window fitted.
