Hi all, I've recently purchased a Harrison M500 lathe and am currently looking for a workshop manual for repair if one exists? I have a service manual but it isn't useful for removal of the clutch shaft. It merely has an exploded diagram of parts.
Your right the instructions manual is very hard to decipher! I'm going to use the vfd on a three phase 4 pole 1.5kw motor to run a qualters and Smith power hacksaw when I put it together. Hopefully this Chinese copy is able to run the thing! :dontknow:
Thanks for the help, I connected live to R and neutral to T she fired right up then thanks. I had received an email off the seller saying to wire it like the picture very misleading.

I'd recommend buying a 730 watt Hitachi good grinder, wouldn't rate the lower wattage grinders. They have a habit of burning out after heavy continuous grinding!
I've been having problems getting this mig to run properly recently. It's been getting it hard strike an arc but does redding and melt the wire before it welds intermittently. I've tried higher settings but it does the same thing. Any ideas on what might be causing the problem welcome. Thanks
The easiest way to provide power to the socket is to use piggy back connectors on the wires terminated at the back of your rear lights on the car. Bolt a lug to a metal point in the boot to use as a negative. Find your left/right indicator, brake and rear marker lights then and use the piggy...
Check the transformer by looping the primary side negative to positive. Then loop the secondary side the same. Use a megger or multimeter to check for continuity between primary and secondary loops. If it's a a closed circuit it's shagged. Also check between primary/secondary and the body of the...
I did using a fine sand paper in places were it needed it. It's only after the primer I done this. Once this is done your finishing coats will be perfect. Also an air gun was great for blasting the grease and dirt off the block after the petrol spray.
I basically used an old spray gun filled with petrol to degrease the engine. I then used a wire cup in a drill and brush to clean up the engine. Everything including injector pipes, power steering pump were taken off for cleaning. I also used sand paper and paint thinners to give everything a...
That sounds like endless hardship no thanks! :) 15 kg's of wire went into that cab after including two 8x4 sheets of 3mm plate believe it or not. Was the most time consuming part including the doors. Would have been quicker building one from scratch to be honest!
Seems like a good solution. Alternatively you could buy a higher capacity drive off eBay provided the motors can be wired in delta as the cheaper drives only have 220v three phase output.
Came across this on Ibidder today. Looks like a nice workshop for those with a limited amount of development land! ;) http://www.i-bidder.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/wca/catalogue-id-witham1-10000/lot-399d0686-8138-49ce-a8ef-a49900cfb5c8
