Was waiting for someone to pick up on my dodgy engine stand lol, to be fair I am more worried about the cheap pressed steel legs I am waiting for them to fold at any minute!
Well I bottled it lol All the gear and not enough of an idea!
I took it to a local engine builders and they drilled them out for me they said I would never of got them out at home. They were well and truly stuck in there they ended up having to totally drill it out and put a full tread insert...
Well after a few hours in the garage last night it was studs 1 and Tim 6, so I have managed to get out 6 in total but one just snapped clean off it was sadly on the same cylinder that the previous one was already gone. I think it will be a job for a machine shop once the madness is over! Forgot...
I am trying to do some work at present lol but when I get a chance later I will take a couple of photo's. What has actually happened is to cause the issue my original bike engine keeps exploding clutches for some reason. If you are familiar with motor cycle wet clutches what is happening is the...
Thanks for your response Gordon but that is not something I can do at home accurately especially as the bolt has sheared at an angle so the drill will most prob wander and I will end up damaging the head anyway. So would welding with co2 be easier than flux core for a new welder? it doesn't need...
Hi All
I hope you are staying safe and well!
I have a little issue and I am hoping for some pointers with what I have a present on what I should do.
So the machine I have a is a Sealey MightyMig100XT mk2 but I don't have any argon mix gas at present but I do have a co2 fire extinguisher set...
Thanks great little videos, everyone has been telling me tig only for ally but it look very achiveable with the kit that I have got. Apart from the gas, I will try it with a Argon mix gas to see if it works as I do not really want to have two bottles for the little welding I do.
Hi
Has anyone tried it? I have a torch that only take m5 contact tips so the max size tip I can get is 1mm and the ally wire is 0.8mm (unless someone knows of a 0.6mm supplier) will that be enough due to the expansion? Also can you try out welding it with CO2 or a argonshield type gas. I...
The bits turned up this morning did a quick test on a old head gasket, went off like a machine gun lol need some setting up to do now, but need gas and proper PPE 1st.
Hi All,
Looking at gauntlets red cow hide easy sorted, but do you guys use arm sleeves? has anyone used the Kevlar fabric ones vs the cow hide ones? Looking for a pointer or two?
Thanks
You live and you learn they sent me the wrong torch kit which is why it did not fit, new parts being delivered Monday! A bit longer delay at least I got a credit for the parts they sent me. Anyone need a a gas valve, handle, gas and wire liner for a sealey PM100XT lol
Hi all the bits to rebuild my gas line torch & liner handle etc have turned up but I am struggling. Everything is built apart from the trigger wiring assembly. Does anyone have a picture of the internals of a sealey mighty mig 100 xt they could send me, as the metal connection doesn't touch...
Also just wondering would there be a issue as the fire extingusher is either on or off would I need to soften the the initial pressure? fitting a tap of some sort?
Hi I have the attached two pictures, one of regulator and then attached to the fire extingusher which is empty at present (but in date still). The adjust ments on the regulator is between 0-100 psi (i know that is pressure) does that have any relation to flow? as I am guessing that I need about...
Hi All
Just purchased a Sealey Mighty Mig 100XT Mk2 Turbo!
I will be beating you all for info once I have it all set up.
It needs a new torch which I am trying to get from Sealey...... or trying just to get to pictures so I can work out what I want!
I have got a fire extingusher which I...
