Yep, won't be spending £1200 on a fronius. I meant a BIT more ;)
Like you, I only need it for occasional jobs. The Hyundai might be worth a look I think!
That'd looks pretty good, and I've got no problem spending the money for good quality gear. You also can't go wrong with such a good warranty.
Have you found that's it's pretty much 'plug and play's, or have you had to customise it to make it perform, as seems to be the case with others?
Cheers gaz1. I've got the 155 which is fine for car body stuff, but I need something heavier for the bigger jobs. You reckon £55 for an old Cebora arc is ok?
Hi all,
I've been after a used arc welder, and a Cebora 210 dual voltage has come up for reasonable money. I have been using my Cebora Boxer mig for odd jobs, but found that I wasn't getting enough penetration when I tried welding a bracket to my trailer.
What's the consensus of opinion on...
I was all set to re bush it all with Polyurethane from Powerflex, but having done a little research they get very mixed reviews! Anyone had experience of poly bushes? Are you all running OEM?
If I was in your shoes, I think I would be more inclined to just repair and patch where needed. Unless you are stripping to the shell, then I would do what I am doing. But, your car looks pretty good from the pics ? You have to be weary of project creep ;-)
If by 'project creep', you mean...
Hi, thanks for all the info! I've checked out your Facebook page, it looks like you have some challenging restorations on there. I'm pleased to say that there's nothing that bad on mine which is just as well.
The outer wings are very good externally, but look like they've both been repaired...
I have a CX500 too coincidentally. its a non runner at the moment but all worked fine when I parked it up. At some point it will be my next project. I have a genuine Moto Guzzi bumstop seat from a V7 to go on. Maybe not your sort of thing but it seems to be the fate of the CX at the moment!
Ah, that makes a difference!
I'll have a dig around and see how much needs to be removed, but if it's a special coating I'll leave what I can in place. Cheers
