I used a infra red panel last year, a camping type one but after i was in there for a few hours everything was covered in condensation. If it was the infra red or me breathing i dont know.
I fitted the 3 kw heater tonight, i get a little blink on the roof lights when i turn it on:o Hope thats...
Crikey, just checked how much it costs to run . £19.50 a week.....Gulp! So although fine to keep it bearable while working out there, keeping it above 5 degrees all winter would mean i would need a part time job to fund it.
All over head except for the last four feet which is buried.
I should actually say the armoured cable feed comes from a consumer unit in the garage. And the feed to this a further 15 feet from the house fuse box. So 45 feet in total in armoured cable
Its 2.5mm armoured cable supply to the rcd approx 30 feet long. When it was installed the chap saw my welder and compressor and suggested i used that in the garage not the shed as the shed supply was more for light domestic appliances only.
Hi
Shed is 14 by ten, but what i would really like to do is have the heater taking the chill off all winter. Even when im not out there. Is 3 kw much of draw on the resources i have out there ?
Hi all, in my shed/workshop the electric is supplied by armoured cable to a separate rcd fusebox consumer unit within the shed. It only has two mini rcd circuits, one for the lights and the other for a pair of twin plug sockets.
The sheds insulated and well ventilated and theres no condensation...
The mig needs at least a new brass torch neck, although i don't think that's anything to do with it not performing. The thread has gone in the neck that accepts surrounding nut for the torch liner. The problem seems to be a general lack of puddle temperature and the welds such as it does now are...
But still not really easily capable on light work , especially with me at the helm when i am new to the equipment. Bugger, i had hoped to be back in action next week as well.
Thanks for the swift informative replies. Appreciated.
Righto, i follow now. So i know what you mean now, i have seen the neat quiet torches on American chopper etc and you use a filler rod. I didnt know they were Tigs.
Why are the Arc inverters so much more expensive than the old arc welders and smaller to for that matter. I do have an old arc...
Thanks, see this is where my ignorance kicks in, i thought this was a modern type arc welder that in the current day was capable of being used on thin sheet. How does the gas come into it when it has an arc weld type torch ?
Evening all,
i mainly need my welder for lightweight classic motorcycle restoration. And the odd car panel replacement or corrosion repair. I apprenticed as a panel beater so my Cebora 130 turbo mig has served me well for the last 25 years or so. However these days the mig needs a repair, i...
In answer to my own question,:ashamed: i just found the motor cuts at just a little over 120 psi, so i guess the cutoff is within the switch housing and nothing to do with the T peice. I would be ecstatic rather than just a happy man tonight if i had managed to get that brass union off but even...
The T peice arrived from china today, and its fitted. This has raised one problem and two questions.
Questions first... what part of the compressor is it that dictates at which point the compressor shuts off when the tank is at full pressure? Is it anything to do with the T peice or not ? What...
Well, for the last few months i have been watching ebay in the hope a spares wolf compressor would come up locally so i could rob the T piece. Alas nothing so far and its been a real pain not having the compressor working. Its when you don't have use of it that you realise how often you use...
