Hi,
I'm going to buy a turbine compressor for some paint jobs, most likely the apollo 1500. This is for a variety of reasons so that's definitely going to happen. The question is, will it work on an underseal gun? The fittings would need to be changed but as it uses such a low PSI is it...
Yes, well away from anywhere! Unfortunately I'm stuck outside which isn't ideal, or unless I can get a very big temp shelter.... One of the projects is a 6m long motorhome, then some land rovers.....
Based upon what vdubz suggested I found:

I must say it looks very tempting! Although it'll probably come to about £400 ish in total, no filters etc. it looks...
After reading this and many other Apollo turbine reports I'll be buying one, the 1500. The gun which comes with it has good reports but you can buy without a gun as well. My thoughts at the moment are to have the existing package with anb300 gun, upgrade to the 7500 or buy a few cheaper ones...
Ah.... that scuppers part of the plan then. I'm not going to lug around a 50litre compressor so that means changing the paint or getting the turbine system above.
I've read a lot about the turbines and people can get good results. For me the reasons to buy are lightweight so easy to move...
Now that I like the look of! I wondered why there wasn't anything like this around already. I won't be using a normal compressor but a turbine spray system (probably apollo 1500). Mostly because it's easy to carry, move about. Of course getting an airfed mask mask means getting a small...
Hi,At some point I'll have a few cars to paint. 2K seems to get the best finish, but requires an air fed mask. How much does this set-up cost? I've seen cheaper masks, but then various filters are required which look to be a lot of money - and need changing every 3 months? I'm guessing...
Looking around, I think the sensible thing is to get two machines rather than one. Any particular recommendations or suggestions of sanders or polishers?
Hi,
I have a few cars to spray and work on.... at some point! Far too many projects...... anyway! Rather than hand sanding and killing myself, I need a dual action sander. Now, it makes sense to get one which can work as a polisher as well which saves having two tools. Any recommendations...
Wow... maybe not a silly question! Concrete slabs are a no then...
I've got some old army sand ladders; not a flat surface but should be more than suitable. Think I'll make a table with them!
Ok.. a silly question, but what type of work bench are you guys welding on? I'm guessing a metal topped bench is best, but say with butt joints, I assume you're raising it off the bench slightly otherwise the weld would penetrate the bench? Maybe I should just buy a couple of paving slabs? Or...
I just bought (ouch) an esab caddy so technically that wouldn't really be a purchase, more accessorising! lol
Seems like this may be the sensible option then! :)
