disks...discs? meh
Anyone tried them? I bought a pack of 10 for £11.70. Seemed a damn good deal for 5" disks.
I tried 2x Dronco (£4.80) ones before this and wasn't too impressed with longevity. 2x 3m 40x40 box, heavily rusted, and they were done.
I'll update the thread on how these work out.
Thanks for the tip mate. I was getting concerned about the weight, but I was also concerned about impact weight...how much stress does a 200kg bike put on a trailer when it hits a bump.
Hi guys, wonder if you can help
I'm using 50mmx2mm box section to build a motorbike trailer. I've butted the sections up to each other at 90 degrees to each other, and welded them. But I'm not so sure this is the best method after looking at it.
Would I get more strength by cutting the ends at...
Hmm, have to sat that's impressive, and exactly what I want, compared the the dross results I saw from that toy town crap I was using today.
Will do more research into it, I need one by next weekend. Thanks for the images Matt
The problem Matt is that the Evolution R210-CMS is very well rated, which is stunning considering just how bad it is. It can;t cut a 45 degree angle to save it's life.
Dutch...I almost coughed my coffee all over the screen when I checked that the price on the 590L. I'm thinking that same...
Just bought an Evolution Mitre saw...it's going back to the shop tomorrow, bloody awful.
I'm looking for a metal cutting saw that can cut 90° - 45°, accurately. Any suggestions that don't cost over 300 quid.
Hi guys,
Here it is. The problem is the design. On a car you'd have, for instance, a 58mm OD pipe sleeve into a 60mm ID pipe, and a clamp it up.
On a bike, they seem to have gone with a 55mm OD into a 60mm ID, and suppy a fat gasket to pad it out, which seems ridiculous, that's never going to...

Hi guys,
I'm looking for someone who can weld a new Stainless steel exhaust on my sons Suzuki GSF650.
As it stands, the exhaust keeps coming lose on the middle joint - seems like a poor design.
Bet he earns a mint.
Just ask him HGV is a good game to get into.
I was made redundant because the company hired a Polish bloke to do the job for 60% of the salary. I'm concerned that HGV is getting the same way.
I cut my teeth welding Series Land Rover chassis with a Clarke 151. I became really good at it. I've welded a handful of MOT fails for friends and family, and no problems.
Canvas cover is at the front of my mind too. I remember welding in the rain and snow and it was no fun at all.
I think the...
