It doesn't just look like something I need, it is exactly what I needed  Thanks you so much for making it and sending it.
Arrived this morning and made short work of removing the freewheel!
I restore bikes as a hobby & do a few commissions for people who want a bike saved for sentimental reasons. This one is a beauty... The Columbus fork won't be original, but everything else does look to be. I'll probably end up putting a like-for-like NOS freewheel back on it, but if I can get...
I can indeed tidy up the slots so they are both 10mm-ish and square. I've got the correct tool for this freewheel, but unfortunately due to the mangled slots it is useless in this particular situation. But, on that basis...
Requirements V2.0: 35mm x 35mm x 10mm block, with a 6mm hole through...

Fairly pathetic I can't do this myself, but when you haven't got the right tools, you haven't got the right tools
It is a small block of steel 35mm x 35mm x 9mm with a 5.5mm diameter hole drilled right through it. Hopefully the sketch describes it well enough.
If for whatever reason a 5.5mm...
Mildly amusing thread disruption.....
A few years ago I worked for the MoD. Part of the job involved attending NATO meetings attended by various representatives from each member country's equivalent of the Royal Navy. During less frosty times in our relationship with Russia, representatives...
Very nice! I have the top cap mounts on my bikes which is great for keeping it out of the way of lights etc. It does mean it is then quite far out of your field of vision though. If you are going to be using it to maintain a specific, constant power level, you will end up looking down, looking...
