a quick comment -
"small area" - remember, you will use one can per session. Once 2k is activated, youre on the clock.
epoxy isnt a isocyanate, so you can spray it with a decent mask (non air fed) or, possibly, you could even roller or brush it?
If you are questioning postal costs, Americans get stung more for transatlantic shipping than we do, so the $44 would be right. Well, would be too low for a high value insured item, but that the sellers risk, providing you pay with section 75 protection.
Laser onto pre cut blanks will be your budget option.
If you want to diy, a resist and then etching onto brass or copper. It will get a bit "steam punk" that way though, if you are not careful.
Press and peel is used for PCB etching.
I keep meaning to go to the glaziers and just get some glass cut. It would be way way cheaper, and, when it gets too etched, ill put it in the recycling and replace it.
If you clean copper with, say, harpic bathroom cleaner (I forget what acid that has in it) then it goes very pink.
I reckon the acid (vinegar) has done exactly the same to the copper in the brass.
I finally got around to getting the parts for my tiny carpet job.
I got 11mm underlay, as, well, I figured that would be more, umm, luxurious.
...but now I realize that the gripper is only 6.35mm thick (the wood, rather than wood + teeth)
Have I done wrong?
Do I need to shim it up?
Seems...
I've been using the orange blades, but they're £50 a hit now (although they do last a long time when doing pallets)
I've just seen these -

I try (but don't always succeed) to avoid nails. I'm wondering what...
Sure, just put a few chips in it and let the water creep under it.
(I dug out an Axminster thicknesser yesterday here... It's been kept under cover, and still the powdercoat is all bubbling... I hate the stuff!)
The selling of nationalised industry is the admission of government that they are not competent enough to run a phone service / post office etc.
Why in earth would you vote for a government who's "selling point" is that they lack competency?
Various parts of our, now privatized, infrastructure...
Amazingly I thought some would see the irony in this quote, given that half the thread is people complaining about privatized dentistry costs and the lack of NHS services.
Instead, I'm getting "likes" and "heart" emojis!
Again, the discussion here is on the spiralling coats and constant...
When a company is nationalised, it becomes like the civil service or the NHS. Far from becoming cheaper, the costs would run away because there is no competion. You pay the rate demanded and put up with the poor service or go without.
I'll buy some of them. PCL are about 6 or 7 quid for the female, which I wouldn't mind if they worked... Tenner for 4 will do me fine. As I say, I have no name ones here that I've had for years without issue.
