Thanks for the replies, I've got the glass on the "cheap" (as usual), came out of some offices and have all the upper, lower track doors, right down to the screws, I'll be building it with a comfort space at the top, to allow us to lift each pane into place, and it's toughened glass with bs...

I've got a powder coating gun application thingy,was £120 off ebay I get the powder from the local powdercoaters, they almost give it away as I want so little, and then in the modified hostess keeper warm trolley for 15 minutes (changed the thermostat )
Whilst you say the heaviest item on the floor would be a car but the Bridgeport would be the heaviest thing in the smallest footprint, personally I'd save your money and get some heating in there

Right then, reviving this post, done the gearbox, well a chain and 2 sprockets
Got a triplex sprocket and welded it onto the output shaft and used a rear smart car di-dion tube set up, so extended the cv joint outer (with a couple of duplex gears I had kicking about) welded it all up and works...
