I pretty sure you've imagined something I didn't write. I never mentioned building regs I was just pointing out it's a common misconception that you can't get house insurance or sell a house without paperwork to support a wood burner install.
This one is actually listed as being for Toyota with the same part number you listed above

Volvo can be tricky, they obviously do something different to other brands. I've used VOLCFR which uses a VAG-COM cable to clear stuff on older V70 and 850. Even with that I found I couldnt reset the service interval on one of mine yet it worked fine on another vehicle. VOLFCR is for pre 2000...
OE and OEM are often confused.
OE is the part you would get from the dealer
OEM is a part made by the same company that makes the OE part but it does not mean it's the same part but often it is.
This often then gets muddied by the fact XXXX could be OEM for Ford oil filters but not fuel...
Road compressors are minefield, I looked for ages and everything I saw was expensive and had a hard life. I ended buying an Ingersol Rand 7/31e. I think I paid about £1600, the place I got it had about 20 of them, they were originally wheeled units but the wheel chassis had been removed which...
We have this one and I would imagine it's possible we've had it 15+ years. I like the fact it takes the top off and leaves no sharp edges. Ironically I even use it tuna cans that have ring pulls, there is a reason though, I have a tuna press for getting the liquid out and when using the ring...
I wear Dunlop Purofort Field Pro Safety. Very light, comfortable and very durable. The bit I like is they grip around the axle which makes them nice to walk in, that doesn't suit everyone though. I use them all year and put them on every day at some point even in the summer
Just be aware there...
Plumbers merchants too, I find it a bit strange. I needed some 15mm-3/4BSP male either straight or 90 and the merchant answered like he had no idea what I was talking about but then said ah 15mm to 3/4 male iron
Brake cleaner has been sky high for quite some time now, I was paying £7.50 for 5L it's now around £17-18
I have just seen a promotion where it's £102 for a 60L barrel delivered.
It's become a massive issue with ex Police cars, they have no legal requirement for an MOT. One of our local auction houses deals sell a lot of them and some forces get them MOTd for the auction but some know full well that they will make more money if there is no history. There have been cars...
I'm the same, the fact nobody will ever see it is not a good reason to not do it right. I find it a bit sad that there doesn't seem to be a demand for people who will do the right job, the demand is for people who do it at the right price. Often these extra bits of effort don't really cost much.
Unless you specifically want those Jag wheels I just wouldn't bother it will never be right. P38 is the same pattern as Discovery 2 as far as I remember and those wheels can be bought for pennies. My my eldest just bought a set of 5 with usable tyres for £35. One of his mates got a set totally...
Where I work one of the maintenance guys used to be a sparky, he listed 3 brands of MCB and said if you carried those 3 it would cover you for just about everything. Sadly I can't remember what they are
Have a look ay Britannica Restorations, he's a British guy in Canada and does a good video about reseting the pump timing. He does use a DTI though but you may be able to get some understanding to maybe do it with a digital caliper or similar
Differences can be very subtle, it's ironic that they fit on DIN rails which is a standard. This is the issue when picking up the special deal fully loaded consumer units, in 5 years you may struggle to find MCBs. I wanted to switch a B for C in mine, Steeple support confirmed the new MCBs were...
