like KempiiFrog said the radii will always be too great, seems like the manufacturer may be aware of the problem too . . . see : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ring-Roller-Round-Square-Flat-Bar-Round-Pipes-Profiles-New-Lower-Price-/281042693109?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item416f732bf5
I think one heat gun would do the job but not economically enough to make it worth following this route. If you used a true commercial quality hot air welding gun and the right nozzle - http://www.welwyntoolgroup.com/leister-triac-s.aspx - or the Steiner German equivalent then you turn up the...
Like most welders their motors aren't designed for continuous use but I bought a hardly used 110 volt version off eBay earlier in the year and have found it comfortable, accurate and well worth the less than 33% I paid for it.
Like any "serious" tool . . . buy one with a "serious" name.
Ace 205wrc . . . what is it they say . . . "Need is the Mother of all invention"?
I'm presuming that the sole reason why you haven't joined the two stands - yet - is that you're still fabricating the drip pan? Weld together about four half steel drums for a lid, add about six bitumen propane...
I see this having been launched using the same conditions of using old farm machinery, technically farmers are meant to have made a "self assessment" on the road worthy nature of their rusting wrecks when they request their "free" RFL :sheep:
That they do this with full integrity can be...
Now you see I'd never thought of the usefulness of aluminium maille in that light . . . . . do you think it would be possible to weld in a zip too?
First, whatever your final design, track down scrap night storage heaters . . . then use the bricks inside to line whatever you build. Set them into place with conventional fire cement, they'll take huge amounts of direct heat and retain a stable heat for ages.
Before ordering my Tig set I phoned them to ask a few questions, they volunteered the information on the extended warranty, I didn't ask. I would of still gone ahead with the purchase but the news of the extra warranty available certainly wiped out any of the competition, even at three times...
Ex Dark Age re-enactor here :drunk:
Having tried all the methods to make maille myself . . . except the aluminium for wimps :scared: . . . I fully understand your frustration.
You could go up one or two sizes in the SWG but you still are faced with one very small "work zone" . . . if it...
Sorry to be a sour-puss but all his sales are in Euro's and, I believe, he therefore sells primarily in the central European zone. Nowhere does he give details of the 24 month guarantee, standard in Germany. Can't see it being "collect and return" so, if anything goes wrong, you'll be writing...
If all else fails take the sanding belt off and re-fit it the other way around, if it now runs out to the other side it ain't the machine it's one badly made belt.
Whilst I see you have a flat welded to your former to keep the bar that is being bent "flat" did you not have any problems in keeping the length of bar you were holding from twisting? If so how did you overcome it?
