Thanks for that Chunkolini you've got a deal, does £150 for P&P sound good to you
Had a look at the BND site but can't find the Zirconium's at that price, did you see them on there or were you just going on a price you've paid before ?
Cheers

I've just nabbed a Makita 9032 finger sander off that well known auction site and now need to get some belts for it. It takes 9mm x 533mm belts, can anyone recommend a supplier where the belts will last more than 30secs but also won't cost as much as the sander itself!
Cheers
Jim
I've got the Makita's, not really used them much but they go through steel like a knife through butter. Also easy to handle and cut to a line with very little distortion, overall I'd thoroughly recommend them. (If you're anywhere near me your welcome to give them a try - despite the advice above...

Personally I think it's horses for courses.
If you're a home DIY-er only using the tools occassionally then Sealey stuff is probably fine, however if you're a pro using the tools all day every day then they'll probably have a life expectancy of a mayfly.

Langy, great to see you haven't forgotten about this thread
How does your mate make the decals, they look great and I need a couple for a drill press I'm refurbing.

Could also try looking for hanging basket hangers which sound like the same thing

Not sure how much the air tool balancers are but guess they're...
As cumbriasteve suggests try the for sale section here. You're likely to do better than getting a trader in to take the lot as a whole, anything left stick on ebay as a job lot
Glad you got it sorted.
There's a guy over on the madmodder forum that's just put a ML7 up for sale for £400. It's up in Inverness but even with delivery it's still a good price for a Myford.
Don't know anything about the lathe or the seller so it's just a heads up and not a...
Had a bit of a trawl round the web and it looks like rewinding is possible, couple of sites suggest using a lathe (which I have) so think I'll give it a go.
Now just need to get a couple of empty 5kg spools. Anyone got any there'd be happy to throw my way

Hi all
I've just picked up a 15kg spool of stainless wire and now that I've got it, it's only just dawned on me that my little Clarke 151TE probably isn't going to cope too well with the weight ! Is it possible to rewind wire from one spool to a smaller one and any tips on how I might go...
I hear what you're saying, but there's also the 10mins hunting for the other spool that I put 'somewhere safe', another 15mins shifting all the crap I put in front of the welder before I can drag it out of it's hole to get to the side door etc etc
Had I paid full price for the SS...
Guys
Other than the obvious cost implications is there any reason why I couldn't use stainless wire on mild steel parts. I've bought a reel of stainless to have a play about with but as I'm only a hobby welder I don't use the MIG too often and when I do I want to be able to switch on and go...
Too right, as a hobby welder if I was to worry about time vs cost I might as well stick the MIG on Ebay but there's nothing like the satisfaction you get of repairing something yourself. Last week I fixed the hinge on the toilet seat - Mrs was well impressed.........at least until I implied it...
I'm no expert but I'd leave the boring to last, no idea how hard Nylatron is but if you bore first then there there's the possibility the wall could collapse/deflect when trying to turn the outside diameters
Parting off tool is really just a thin(ish) blade, you could possibly use a piece...

This looks to be more up your street - he's on the other side of the world so shouldn't be any competition though.

Another cracking piece Graham
I'm in the 'fill him in' camp, think Scarecrow's idea of using some mesh might do the trick
Either way keep them coming, you'll have your own zoo soon !

Hi Warren
Apologies, I completely forgot about this thread so have only just seen your offer about collecting bottles. As it turns out my bottle is due for it's 3 year renewal and to be honest for the amount I now use it, it's not worth it for me (especially as I left the reg open on the last...
