I think i`m right in saying that is usually when the springy fingers of the clutch cover plate harden over time. Usually when the friction plate is wearing down, you may get an increase in revs momentarily when changing gear or accelerating harder.
I`ve changed a few clutches before on...
I`ve used Halfords xcp cleaner/degreaser wich was good too. Bought to try & it works well. They also do a foam cleaner wich is good for getting in all the nooks & crannies on engine bays.
The ones in the OP have the magnet on a round base attached to the lights by a metal stalk. For me it saved any worries of corrosion on wires or lights getting damp. If I towed a trailer daily I would wire in a set of good quality led lights, but for my occasional use they have been good.
I am now on second set. First set they glue/resin broke down as previously mentioned & on same journey the stalk between magnet & rear of light broke. I had used them about 8x before that happened though. They are easy to use & charge by by usb cable plugged in rear wich is covered with rubber...
We used to use Mordant on galvanised steel that had to be painted, just brush it on & it gives a base to help the paint stick to it. Also you don`t need to spend days rubbing down, we used to take off any high spots or sharp edges with a 60 grit flap disc & gently skim over the surface to key it...
Same with my vw thewindow regs & internal steel door card are held in with pop rivets. Needed to put some large pop rivets in my disco rear door hinge too.
Strange thing`s happen with rising damp. My house is at the bottom of a gently sloping park. The council dug a 2` wide strip at the bottom & filled with stone to deal with run off from the park. Prior to me moving in, my neighbour ( now passed ) showed me a photo of water cascading over the...
I got a vw passat estate 1.6 £30 a year road tax & loads of space. In fact I chose it over a Octavia estate as when the rear seats were down on the skoda, there was a rounded bulkhead that wouldn`t allow the whole rear to lay totally flat unlike the passats.
What about a skoda yeti ? they seem...
I know the bottles have a Tare weight ( Wich I believe is the empty weight of the cylinder ) & there is a certain amount of air space, after say filling the cylinder say 80% with liquid is that what ullage refers to ? & how is it worked out.
I feel for your Dad. Mine was due to mc accident as Mr white van man decided he didn`t need to check for traffic whilst crossing a dual carriageway from the centre section, cue me ending up with my femur saying hello, broken hip, collar bone & dislocated neck. I lost approx. 2" off my leg in the...
This is quite interesting to me, as due to requiring a built up shoe from a bike accident. On the NHS I have to send my shoe away, to get the tread from the bottom of my shoe removed & then the built up layer placed between. Over time invariably a part of the sole will start to peel away & I...
I have had the part number 9 in 80b`s diagram disintegrate before and parts lock in the gear shaft. It all started with sloppy gear gear change & then broke & I couldn`nt reverse. Should be fairly easy to remove the gaitor & I think it was 4x 10mm bolts to check.
